my 240D is a non turbo I4 diesel. Has no tach, but wont rev over 3500 or so if you tried.
"Redline" is literally the red line on your rev counter. Your redline isn't necessarily at the rev limiter.
3900 redline and it isn't a diesel. If you can guess it I'll give you internet points
