Find something that brings you joy, like gathering, exploring, or going outside for a while and taking a walk. Sometimes some fresh air can help to lighten the load on your shoulders. Do good things and be gentle with yourself. It won't make the sadness go away, but it will help for a time. Small acts of kindness towards yourself build up after a while.

Are you grinding it out to get loot to turn to GC seals? You should do a mix of aquapolis/maps and that, should be a good method.

Well there's not much to do as a group right now. Everyone is sorting stuff out before stormblood. If you want to play with a group all you have to do is be consistent and tag along for daily/raids/ whatever.

literally already used to it after maining warlock forever in WoW so

i havent played since heavensward came out and barely even touched that, has it became any faster to level? if i started now could i get through the main story shit to get to the new expansion easy enough?

So what should someone with 270 gear as a BLM do for the next month? I don't feel like leveling any other jobs since I'm just going to RDM or SAM, and I hate crafting/gathering. Do I just do mount collecting or something?

Get gear for RDM and SAM, whichever you plan on going.

I know SAM is tied to NIN/MNK. Not sure about RDM but my guess is it's tied to BLM/SMN.

If it's like Heavensward, you'll still need to do some grinding here and there to catch up with the MSQ, so spending the time FATE grinding isn't so bad.

I probably took for granted how easy it was to get any queue I wanted in Heavensward MSQ since I was a Healer leveling with a Tank.

Start collecting some materials to make cool rapiers/katanas.

More excited for SAM and RDM than I was for DRK / MCH / AST at any rate. I also like the new job actions other classes are getting from a purely visual / flavor standpoint - especially DRG's Nidhogg looking bullshit.

I just hope they don't tread the Gordias path again and things generally improve in quality. The story in HW was miles ahead of ARR, so I hope they keep that same level of story up at least.

so i check the active populations in america and guess which fucking world they put me in.

You'll be surprised at how fast you can level another character when you skip all the cutscenes and shit. If you're not willing to throw down the $18, like youre a NEET or something, Id just do that instead.

Mateus is going to become the new RP hub now that Balmung is transfer & character creation locked. Just stick with it, if it really bothers you at max level you can transfer out.

Read about the lore, be knowledgeable about it and incorporate it into making a character. I really suggest you make a character that blends well into the lore and not some special snowflake female Nuhn or Hyur pretending to be a Padjal.

I also suggest you RP as the class and not the job unless the job is fairly accessible lore-wise like Paladin, Bard or Dragoon and not something like Monk, Summoner or Scholar UNLESS you have a good reason.

A simple backstory like being from a family of farmers or something cliché like having dead parents and wantimg revenge is fine as long as it is written well and your character has flaws, so your character doesn't end up a Mary Sue.
And just remember to have fun.

There's literally Odin, Excalibur, and Faerie. All of these servers are high in population and full of RPers, and none of them are locked.
