A few days ago we talked about what we hate the most in games and I mentioned all those Rape on Defeat games. Now I play RJ184230 and I have to ask, why the hell is it necessary? Why can't we just split the fights and the H, so that you don't have to lose just to get an H-scene? I know that I'm advocating for this game too much already but RJ149926 was so good in my opinion because you could play the game and fight the enemies head on and afterwards watch some H-Scenes. Instead I have to use equipment that lowers my stats, I have to use attacks that are basically suicide just because otherwise I won't get any H out of the game.

Ideally the game should throw H at you regardless of what is going on - it's a porn game and it can't be a porn game if playing it in any way results in no porn. But that's tough... because then the dev has two choices:

The second one can lead to weirdness and the first one would make the player feel bad. I mean, second one is probably fine for male MC games, but weird for female MCs.

I like combat intimacy as a way to "fix" these, though. The H will happen in the middle of combat whether you win or lose. Then the dev can add extra H on win/defeat. But this is hard because it's costly (too many resources needed, a lot that will never appear because the player won/lost instead, etc).

But why couldn't they set it up like: You beat the Boss, the Boss get's some kind of power-up or help from his goons or whatever, he makes one last ditch attack and you can decide if you just shrug it off and win the fight or get yourself raped, but because the boss was already dead on his legs, he dies right after the scene is done.

I know that you can't insert that kind of thing in every game but to me it seems like a better Idea than "Yeah, here you have this poison that insta-kills you or here you have this ability that is called "Suicide" ". Maybe it's just because I'm a bad loser and I don't want those underleveled punks mocking me because they think they are unbeatable.

But it should be a choice though, not just because of a lack of scenes. If I want to be a huge slut or pure maiden, or something in the middle, there should be a path for it.

What's the problem with that? Most games have options to disable certain features, some allow you to limit H-Scenes so that each scene only appears once. That way you could make an option that reads "Are "last ditch" attacks allowed" or "automatically repell final attacks? ". Then you could pick between "Yes", "No" "Repell always after a scene has been seen". That way you could enjoy your H AND your fights(this is also a point that is just weird, the devs put effort into their battle system, to then just throw it out the window because the games focus is on H which is locked behind RoL).

You would have to accept that LITERALLY EVERY ENEMY was for some reason holding back during the fight you just won, and then you would also have to accept that, given your Gyu example, the creators would have to limit all writing to not be bad ends and instead be something that the protagonist gets back up from. If they can't get back up, then it's a game over and that was what you wanted to get rid of.

Also I don't want them to remove bad ends (Ok, yes somewhat, GoR is one thing that I despise. H-Scenes should be rewards and you don't reward people for losing but I understand that the enemy would rape the female MC if she were to lose) but they should be one small part of the game and not the entirety of it, like some games do.
