Slightly Dangerous Edition Previous jej: The thread is dedicated to all games about building machines and systems out of blocks, in space or otherwise. Also, all these games are ded. Only ded games may join, otherwise they must have their own thread. Whether or not a game belongs in /egg/ is a case by case matter, however games that would belong in /svgg/, space voxel games general, are automatically considered /egg/
WebM for physicians: >gitgud.io/nixx/WebMConverter.git
List of currently known and vaguely not as dead /egg/ games (this list is not fully inclusive and if you think a game might belong here, feel free to ask): >Algodoo >Avorion >Besiege >Chode - Children of Ded Earf >Empyrion - Galactic Survival >Factorio >From the Depths >Garry's Mod >GearBlocks >Homebrew - Vehicle Sandbox >Infinifactory >Intersteller Rift >KOHCTPYKTOP: Engineer of the People >Machinecraft >REM >Robocraft >Robot Arena 2 >Scrap Mechanic >SHENZEN I/O >Space Engineers >SpaceChem >StarMade
Games that are definitely not /egg/: >Minecraft >The general that quite literally cannot be named. The Mexican scam artist one. With the shitposters. Fuck off. >Hearthstone, found in the hearthstone general, /hsg/, not in this general.

That was the meme. Probably only due to efforts in that area being concentrated on chess.
AFAIK those kinds of AIs still aren't really AI's at all they just have a database of every move made by every master in every scenario and can make educated guess on what the best move would be.

What of those do you need to do for quantum physics? I know there are hamiltonians and lagrangians but are they types of equations or just advanced models for making calculations? for all I know everything in physics which isn't basic pemdas is calculus

Why haven't more people used nets against spinners? Those seem to be the meta and a sufficiently strong net might be their weakness.

What's the best way of clearing out Biter nests endgame in Factorio? I've just been running in with my tank and uranium ammo and clearing them out, but it's annoying to have to repair my tank afterwards every time

Those of you that are up to date with Starmade, is the game unfucked yet?
Did they reduce all armors down to one type yet like thye said they would? So I can just make cubes, and then when i place them down I can pick whatever shape I want, instead of having to manufacture each and every goddamn shape for every color?
Is there a spray painting tool yet in the ship builder so I can just float around my ship painting it with different XYZ settings, again, instead of having to make bricks in every shape in color, and put them down manually?
Did they add that new energy system they talked about, which will force everyone to trash all their current ships?
Are NPC crews in yet?
Ryan Collins
If he was a christian he'd probably be considered a martyrdom saint
Wyatt Jenkins
>Did they reduce all armors down to one type yet like they said they would? There are still hull, st.armor and ad.armor. >So I can just make cubes, and then when i place them down I can pick whatever shape I want, instead of having to manufacture each and every goddamn shape for every color? Da, Schema unified all shapes into basic cubes. Not sure about colors though. Probably still have to produce them separately. >Did they add that new energy system they talked about, which will force everyone to trash all their current ships? Nyet. Have """""fun""""" with the old system. >NPC crews I'm wondering which will happen sooner: DE releasing Umbra frames in Cuckframe or Schema releasing the crew update. To my own surprise I'm leaning to the former.
Joseph Howard
Would you like a medal?
Anthony Perez
that'd be pretty nice yeah but I'd already be happy enough if people would listen and stop making premature threads when we can squeeze them out for a bit longer
Elijah Rivera
I just wanted to make sure the OP was made correctly, and the way to do that is to do it myself when I can. Nobody's going to sneak Kerbshit into it on my watch
Landon Taylor
I was thinking of something like that. Creative Spengies server.
People are more willing to partake in space battles and less time players do tedious tasks like mining.

Quick /egg/, give me your essential Factorio mod list.
David Morgan
are beacons/modules worth it for furnaces on deathworld?
Jonathan Ward
Here you go
Adam Reed
essential quality of life: bottleneck - locate input/output starved machines even distribution - makes early game coal/ammo loading way simpler long reach - don't need to constantly run around as much squeak through - you can walk through solar fields/oil refineries without wanting to kill yourself tree collision - ditto, but with walking through forests upgrade planner - helps turn shit belts into better belts without wanting to stomp on your dick while wearing cleats vehicle snap - drive along train tracks without slowly drifting towards/away from it
for slightly more gameplay altering: RSO - resources (and biters) are scarcer, but more rich. makes trains a lot more necessary, in a good way. RadarPlus or BigBrother - radars are designed for vanilla ore/biter gen, this increases radar range by quite a bit allowing you to better find new ore patches Rampant AI - biters are a lot more intelligent in their attack patterns fat controller - kind of mainly QoL but best used in conjunction with RSO, since trains are important. allows you to set an alert if a train gets stuck/deadlocked at a rail signal.
cosmetic: better icons - makes some things look better, somethings look kinda worse though
laser beam turrets - makes laser turrets shoot a continuous beam, instead of "bolts" of light
Wouldn't play without? (Utility Mods) >RSO >GDIW >Evogui >Alien Biomes >Waterfix >LoaderRedux >Autofill >Bottleneck >Flow Control >Orphan Finder >Pipe Manager >Reverse Factory >Warehousing
Robert Hall
Haven't fucked with mods much yet, just checked a few out, but it looks like the Bottleneck mod is a good quality-of-life change. RSO is often recommended; it changes resource spawning to not use shitty Perlin noise. Alien Biomes adds a lot of new terrain. I think there's also a "Creative Mode" mod that adds a bunch of nice features for just designing shit. If you want extreme autism there's the classic Bob's + Angel mods; I haven't tried either. Quite a few mods change bug AI; I hear good things about "Rampant AI".
You mean with the increased material costs? Can't speak from authority but it seems like it would be a good idea for steel. However you'd probably want to hit your science production first, since you need more science packs AND they are more expensive. I've seen some attempts at calculating the "payback time" for fully module'ing every possible product, but I've never seen the math done for Marathon recipe costs.
Bottleneck and some of these sound a bit too cheaty for my taste, but thanks for the list, I am looking at those.
John Hill
Ouch
Jacob Richardson
TFW the blue flash may well come from Cherenkov radiation generated in your eyeball
Ryder Turner
Bottleneck just puts a circle on everything to tell you what's doing what, it's like the overlay in Production Line if you've played it. What others seem cheaty?
Lincoln Evans
I wouldn't consider bottleneck cheating. It just allows a slightly more intuitive way of observing the function (or rather, the disfunction) of your machines
Sebastian Fisher
By the way that isn't a picture of him, it's just a random burn victim. That guy is missing a leg and no logs indicate Ouchi ever lost one. Still brutal as fuck and I wonder what happened to that guy though.
Jack Cooper
C-could one of you upload your modlist for poorfags like me please?
Xavier Hill
My modlist is more than just that, anything else you want?
Carter Sullivan
The Los Alamos demon core incident is weird though, I though Pu 238 did not have a criticial mass (i.e. you need a neutron source to kick off the chain reaction). I suppose their Pu was dirty and contained remainder of Uranium?
Those all look really neat. Really glad to see you have the AAI vehicles, those looked pretty cool.
Austin Murphy
Is starmade in its current state worth the 15 dollars?
Ayden Johnson
Yo, are there still any good Space Enginerd servers left?
Christopher Smith
I honestly don't think so unless they added proper music and sound effects by now.
Sebastian Sanders
>After being treated for a week, Ouchi managed to say, “I can’t take it any more… I am not a guinea pig”. However, the doctors kept treating him and taking measures to keep him alive, which only ensured a very slow and very painful death.
Noah Edwards
I remember reading something that Ouchi said to ignore his protests and keep studying him regardless before he deteriorated
Angel Ramirez
Thank you much user-kun I'd like to try all of those if you can.
Thomas Flores
Nihon a hardcore
Cameron Cooper
Well, apparently it does have one. Do not stack at home.
Juan Gray
Alright, here you go. I really, really recommend looking up some of these before starting. If you jump in with all of it enabled it will absolutely overwhelm you

store.steampowered.com/app/578800/Phantom/ Could this be another /egg/? Seems so with the building system that lets you build vehicles and shit. Not sure just how early access hell it is though.
