SF IV made people think fighting games were dead and "revived" with the game even though Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, and Tekken were doing just fine without Street Fighter so now Capcom has people by the balls by saying if they don't support Street Fighter fighting games will die again.

Why does SFV look so inconsistant? Like infiltration, nuckledu and li joe did fairly well and now they just exist. It looks like every month or so someone else just wins everything and then they turn irrelevant for the rest of the games lifespan.

SFV is a good game but its really limited in how you can express yourself with a character. When you watch older SFs, especially 3s (but 4 too) you can recognize play styles. Even with optimal punishes and the same setups and all that those games had that certain swag. You could tell it was Rx Urien or Vanao Ryu or Diggo E Ryu or Momochi Ken
SFV barely has that. SFV is clinical and you end up doing the same shit every time. The combos are designed in a lab, the links are designed in a lab, everything works the same way. You see the same shit over and over again. There's barely any individual flavor. Yeah I can still tell Momochi Ken and Julio Ken apart, but mostly its all so same-y.
