what are your stats, dumbo

Cute!

Come on people
sl120 pass dsg
1 contestant so far

PC FC at high wall, on the wood rafters
pass=dsg
GET IN

It it correct that staying at sl99 rather than sl100 gives you a slightly better shot at invading, being summoned etc. based on the matchmaking?

Could this be Midir?

Negligible.

Is Str/Fai viable like at all? I really like big weapons, but they're getting kind of boring on their own.

Does staying at SL98 let you avoid the majority of the quality meta crap?

Someone mind dropping a Storm Curved Sword?
Platform is PC, Pass is dsg2.
Put a sign down by the High Wall bonfire.
And maybe also drop the Great Wooden Hammer? I need to meme.

I've been trying that and apparently it's not. I've resolved to using a mace and the stone pharma if I want to keep my armor and casting while still being at 120

You're thinking of BB.

>sl120

Well, that's lame. It's nice using a handful of fun weapons but it gets kind of boring. Especially with the LGS, it's really not that interesting. I prefer YGM and other weapons that aren't just swords.

as opposed to?

Nope. That's an Archdragon.

>quality meta
dude it's been
8
EIGHT
months
since that isn't a thing, move on. You're not dodging anything, stop being a pussy

I haven't played in that long though.

PC FightClub at the High wall bonfire,
password is dsg
put it on the wood rafters adjacent to the stairs!

Do you mind it being +5? I snagged one off of a guy who needed muling services, but I've only beaten Nameless King twice on this character.

Don't think I've ever gotten a wooden hammer on this character though, so I can only drop the sword.

>been invaded 3 or 4 times
>only one sign
come on people

I don't even understand what you mean by "dodging quality meta crap". Are you doing invasions or duels?

I want to hug this sorcerer.

Back when I played there were so many people with the same build, it was boring. Mostly for dueling, I don't invade often.

Oh don't worry, it's worse now at lower levels thanks to Prisoner's Chain everyone can be a quality Gael's user at SL 80 even. So if you want to dodge the "quality meta", you'd better stay at SL54 or just go to SL120 and learn to not care.

Heavy and Sharp infusions only actually got their buffs in the pre-TRC patch, though. So it's only been two months since quality and bleed stopped being cancer.

but the introduction of poise shifted it a bit for heavy weapons, those were good back then too and it created a bit of disparity. TRC only added insult to injury, making every weapon being better sharp or heavy even at 40/40.

>making every weapon being better sharp or heavy even at 40/40

Can dragonsis be cute too?

>thought clubs where a boring weapon
>actually try great club on an ironclad soldier
>2H R2 actually knocks them out never giving them a chance to do somethung
>rapes bosses in no time

Damn wish I tried this before, it sure lacks the finesse and looks of other cool weapons but great club is sick

what is this pic referencing?

Obviously dragonsis gave yorshka hair buns.

>only unique and boss weapons are better at 40/40 with very rare occasions for infused weapons
welp

oh, i thought because they're both anorexic or something like that

>60 dex
>when the returns are better from 61 to 80
activates almonds

Sword is fine, just put down a red sign by the High Wall.

Dragon slayer great axe or Yhorm's?

whats the lowest sl and wl you've beaten the game? Just beat aldritch and get dmb at sl15 +1 weapons

Area you the guy I raw'd the axe 2 days ago or so?

I think DSGA is better for unzips but Yhorm's has better damage 2handed
I've beat the game at sl1+10. Except the second dlc, I lost my data right as I was about to try and tackle it. Honestly I doubt I'd beat the princes even

quick anyone got a spare Demon's Scar on PC?

Anyone care to escort the first Abysswalker to put down his feral fanboys?
pc dsg, sl120 ng+

Cute!

is there anything wrong with going for Greatwolf at SL70 to PvP?

Huh, Already finished my DS1 version of my DS3's str character, and just started the DS2 version and, at least for a heavy str character, it feels way faster in 2 than in 1, and I'm not feeling really annoyed with the controllers at all.

Nah I had someone help me transfer my own axe and then I made it raw myself.

Oh that's a shame. Kinda curious how he's doing.

DS2 is a bit more floaty than the other games, so heavy builds like STR tend to feel a bit faster as a result.

Right close to the first bonfire?

First time I see that one. Cute indeed. I want a dragon bf/gf!

It's over now, none but one came

>dread midir while going through NG+ TRC on pyromancer
>kill him on second try
I am a fucking GOD

Sure, why not. Come to High Wall with pass dsg and wait.

Dang.
Wanna do some undead matches instead?

Cute!

I'm having the exact opposite problem. I'm running a DS2 dex character and the game feels hideously slow. I'm missing almost every parry because I always do it too soon since even fast enemies have a fucking half hour long attack animation.

Keep in mind two-handing gives you a 50% strength bonus, and heavy weapons scale much better with strength.

Got that artist's pics of Ornstein fucking dragonsis and dragonbro by any chance? I forgot to save them.

just go to e621 yo

K

Shit, forgot to pick it up from my stash, summon me again.

Thank you.

>Sarah
Wait, didn't I help you curb stomp Friede the other day? I was the DSA cosplay.

Yeah.
Thanks for that as well.

Post /comfy/ spots.

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Og6KN6Q4MRGJfYADaI312JNJsIPX-B0wyJcdF8_C4eM/edit#gid=0
here's the table for 61+dex some weapons that are outdone by quality vs min/60 are better at min/80. of course, for way more stats but that's beside the point, if you're going dex you have to go full dex anyway, not like vit matters.

I guess DS1 is better for dex and DS2 better for str?

What's your most favourite and least favourite boss from each of the souls games?

>Favorite
Executioner's Chariot

>Least favorite
Bed of Chaos. Fuck that shit.

>not like vit matters
vit can make a difference of over 300 damage from a weapon combo. Thats more than a quarter of most peoples hp.

I meant for wielding most dex weapons because they are light, which means you can have semi-heavy armor without much investment. Of course you lose in base defenses, but you should attack fast and not trade to begin with.

Go-to guys for lore :
Demon's Souls :
Watch A German Spy's in-depth run

Dark Souls 1 :
The Reclusive Lord of the Profaned Womb a.k.a Epicnamebro. His From the Dark series is still the best lore package there is for DS1.

Dark Souls 2
Oh crikey that's a tough one. Vaati is your best bet but DS2 lore is kind of a shitshow anyway so eh.

SanaDks is also okay

>Watch A German Spy's in-depth run
god, do you want to kill the guy?

DS1
>Least: Biggie and Smalls
>Favorite: Quelaag
Bloodborne
>Least; Maria the Hedgehog
>Favorite: Vicar Amelia
DS3
>Least: Iudex Gundyr/Deacons of the Deep
>Favorite: Champion Gundyr

Why don't we have fire sorceries when both the Witch of Izalith and the Deacons both use fire sorceries? Just give me some profaned/ancient fire sorceries already, From!

Spy is on his home turf when he's talking about DeS. He's totally clueless about BB (t. Flora) but his DeS series, particularly the in-depth run, are good.

>DeS
Least: The Leechmonger
Most: Penetrator
>DaS
Least: Bed of Chaos
Most: Artorias
>DaS2
Least: 2cat
Most: Burnt Ivory King
>DaS3
Least: Wolnir
Most: Sister Friede
>BB
Least: Witches of Hemwick
Most: Lady Maria of The Astral Clocktower

>DaS1
Favorite: Kalameet
Least: Probably Nito
Honorable mention: Bed of Chaos doesn't even qualify as a boss fight

>DaS2
Favorite: Alonne
Least: Demon of Song
Honorable mention: Prowling Magus and Congregation is just a mob fight in an enclosed room

>DaS3
Favorite: Midir
Least: Dancer
Honorable mention: Deacons and Ancient Wyvern are shit and don't qualify as bosses

That doesn't change the fact that he has the worst voice ever. Also his das3 playthrough made me pretty much never look at his channel again.

DS1
>Most
Artorias
>Least
Demon Firesage

DS2
>Most
Ruin Sentinels or Burnt Ivory King
>Least
Elana, Squalid Queen

DS3
>Most
Slave Knight Gael
>Least
Crystal Sage

...

At what point do DaS2 bosses actually become fun?

I just got to Iron Keep and so far not one single boss in the game, except maybe Ruin Sentinels and early game Pursuer, took more than a minute or two to kill. All I have to do is poke them to death with my rapier + 4. I don't even dodge or block half the time, they're all just so fucking slow and have a tiny health pool. I died more to Hollows than I did to every boss in the game combined.

>DS1
Favorite: Kalameet
Least: Centipede

>DS2
Favorite: Fume Knight
Least: Vendrick

>DS3
Favorite: Champion Gundyr
Least: Wolnir

>BB
Favorite (across all four games): Ludwig
Least: Rom or Celestial Emissary

They never become fun.
Welcome to Dark Souls 2.

is this still going on?

DS1 :
>favorite
Artorias. Obnoxious fanwank aside he's a really fun boss.

>least favorite
Bed of Chaos

DaS 2:
Duke's Dear Freja. Best spider fight in the series.

Covetous demon.

Bloodborne :
Ludwig.

Laurence. Laurence is BB's Blue Smelter Demon with copied appearance and only the second phase being significantly different.

DS3 :
Dragonslayer Armor. Great boss arena, awesome music and overall great design on the boss.

Shittiest boss is Ancient Dragon which is barely a boss.

good shit

>BB
Most favourite: Orphan
Least Favourite: Witch of Hemwick

>DeS
Most Favourite: Penetrator
Least Favourite: Tower Knight

DaS
Most Favourite: Sif
Least Favourite: Bed of Chaos (What else?)

>DaS2
Didn't play it

>DaS3
Most favourite: 2bat
Least Favourite: Yhorm

The DLC bosses in DaS2 are pretty fun. Everything else is kinda traysh.

Will someone who didn't liked Dark Souls II but enjoyed Demon's Souls (despite no one playing online) like Dark Souls I?

And how dead is the online community of DS1 on PS3?

Am I weird for thinking there are a ton of worse DaS bosses than Bed of Chaos?
>Demon Firesage
>Centipede Demon
>Moonlight Butterfly
>Gwyndolin's endless corridor
>Pinwheel

yes

ds2 is the black sheep of the family

you guys still fighting?

No, not really. It's just that Bed of Chaos is one of the more prominent shitty bosses.

DS1 is much more like DeS than DaS2.

All of those are actual fights that you can make usage of you actual combat skills or build in, BoC is just a matter of being able to land on the root between his arm swings.

Pinwheel is kinda shit but at least he's over quickly.

pinwheel just needed more hp. he's not a bad boss

my favourite DaS3 mechanic

Depends on what you liked about Demon's Souls. Chances are, yes, Dark Souls is mostly just a refinement of the formula that Demon's Souls created (Which is itself a refinement of King's Field, but that's beside the point).

Online is pretty dead, but you still see summon signs and invaders every now and again, the latter especially if you use dried finger.

Dark Souls 2 is a very different game with notably worse level design (Barring specific exceptions), though it is better in some other aspects and is an extremely chunky experience compared to the other games.

DeS
>favorite
False King Allant
>least favorite
Adjudicator (great visual design but I'm ranking the bosses by their gameplay mostly)

Dark Souls 1
>favorite
Manus
>least favorite
Ceaseless Discharge

Dark Souls 2
>favorite
Darklurker
>least favorite
Ganksquad

Dark Souls 3
>favorite
Midir
>least favorite
Ancient Wyvern

Bloodborne
>favorite
Ludwig
>least favorite
Witches of Hemwick

Honorable mention now that we're talking about bosses: Burnt Ivory King. I think it's a massively overrated fight and not good at all. Crown of the Ivory King was the weakest of the DLCs.

I agree. His lore is great too. I would've liked him if he wasn't pathetically helpless.
