Can tires really be worth $190 each for spirited non-competitive driving?
Can tires really be worth $190 each for spirited non-competitive driving?
I bought my tires for $500 each and they're worth it imo.
put in drywall screws every 3 inches for better grip
Maybe on a motorcycle where 2% better grip is the difference between dying and not-dying.
On a shitbox, not really.
>RE970s
You can do better than that user, I believe in you.
These are the tires you need
Its always "worth it" to increase your traction
OP just buy Federal 595 RSR's if you want cheaper, but fun, spirited driving.
Really just looking for the best all-seasons I can find and don't mind paying as long as they're worth the money.
eww
Well OP, if your tyres aren't touching the road chances are your roof is instead.
What's wrong with them, they're some of the best street legal tires you can get (on dry asphalt)
They'll probably go bald in 15k miles too.
>$190
I wish.
My front tires cost double that, and my rear ones triple.
Actually, they go bald after like 10k-12k miles, but that's only a problem for poorfags
$190 ea. isn't shit, unless you have a shitbox
I just paid 118usd each for a pair of 295/30 r22 on my shitbox. Hell I'm paying less than 190 for 315/60r15 m/t drag radials
Post full car. I love the rust-look.
>all seasons
more like no seasons, am I rite?
If you must insist, the best are Continental DWS and Michelin PSAS3
Don't have a full car pic. Not MY shitbox but one of my projects at work. I just grabbed pics of the wheel tire and exhaust setups I did to send the wife. It's a 53 Chevy 3100
My dd's both have Continental dws 06 225/45 17 and I love them
must have fixed that weak-ass sidewall of the original edition. Stunning ice for a non dedicated winter tire.
After going Michelin Pilot Sport AS3, AS3+, and Goodyear F1 Asymmetric AS I haven't looked back
The weak sidewalls make it a great DD tire. Just don't think it'll respond as quickly or roll over less than a PSAS3 or similar.
There's a tire on the market for everybody, there's no one right choice.
My rears are $180 each and if I'd gone for Michelin PSS they'd be about $250 each.
So yes.
>R compounds on the road
But why
I don't think I can get tires for less than $150 for my car. W-rated.
China
The most expensive ones for my car cost 78€.
It depends on wich sieze and speed rating you need.
Unless you regulary go on a high speed track or live in germany, you could go with a lower rating, most of us don´t drive 250 km/h+ anyway.
If your car has small wheels due to beeing small, tires are fucking cheap.
The cheapest ones I can find for my car start at about 30€ and have decent grip ratings.
Have fun dying in a 15 mph crash bozo
Federal 595 RSRR off eBay with free shipping. Cheapest 200TW tire, next best for the money would be Nexen Sur4/Sur4G.
...
Mine are about $120 each. More tire than I need for street hooning. And they even do a decent job in the snow.
Posted in another thread but.
$30 each including wheel.
My truck tires are between $350-$400 each though depending on if i can get a sale or not
Probably, yeah.
I drive a 200hp car only really made for commuting to work and driving to the mall.
I don't but ultra high performance tires, but I have a set of "performance" all seasons for spring-fall and a set of good winter tires for winter, since I live where it snows.
