skye is easy to counter on the team level and why she's a garbage character, but on the individual level she has a huge advantage against most of the cast
assuming you don't only ever play with some premade team of friends then most fights end up just becoming individual encounters

I got to 3k always picking last and thus playing mainly tank or occasionaly support. A lot of people recommend instalocking damage or flank to carry your team but I believe it's better to let others pick what they're comfortable with and adjust to that.

Evie requires some skill to play effectively, so she sucks at low level, so she never gets nerfed because devs think she doesn't need nerfs

Yep, it's pretty broken. Most of the time it saves a few seconds off of respawning for her, and that's it. It's not fun to play against and it's not too much fun to play as. Not broken enough to be totally gamebreaking, just enough to be annoying.

I played Reprieve Evie today and enemy Pip ulted me while I was in iceblock and I turned into an invincible chicken that couldn't move.
Hi-rez' bugs are reaching Bethesda's levels.

So the legendary still serves the same purpose of letting her play on the aggressive side and still have an "oops" button, but if she is comically overextended or doesn't blink correctly then she still gets dunked.

The Legendary cards in general made the game less fun.

Or more specifically, the game is balanced based off of global win rates. And since the vast majority of Paladins games are casual siege matches being played by sub 1.5k elo mouthbreathers, that's the demographic the champions are balanced for.

This is why characters like Grover and Ying get so little love from Hi-Rez: a person who has absolutely no idea what they're doing can still contribute to the team, despite the fact that these champions are blatantly sub-optimal in higher level play. It's also why champs like Andro/Drogoz/Evie are allowed to be so inordinately powerful in the right hands: the mere fact that you have to aim well to succeed with them means huge swathes of people consistently do terribly and lose games when they play them.

Don't ask me about Buck though, that shit's a mystery.

They handled it in the worst way possible

global winrates include coop vs AI which are probably a majority of total matches. So Grover, Tyra, Fernando etc have inflated winrates whereas characters like Androxus are exclusively played vs other people.
