Naturally, sadly in real life when someone uses deadly force on you, you're pretty much out of options. I really like the US's self-defense laws, I feel they're perfectly rational.

But like that other user was saying, in Undertale you can save, reset and load, which means you have all the opportunity to find another way. The whole Sans speech about "doesn't it make it YOUR responsibility to do the right thing?"

In real life though you only have that one chance, so it's not even nearly as clear.

The US self defense laws are really flawed and so often abused that its not even funny but this is a conversation for a different board.

The writing in undertale is so nuanced, it's really damn good. Honestly one of the more cringe aspects of the fanbase is when they come up with writing ideas and make up dialogue options, but it's always painful to read because I just can't imagine the characters saying that, as it's so far off from toby's writing style for his characters.

Speaking of cringe, someone recently made a video of disbelief papyrus, and I was pleasantly surprised with how decent it was. The whole "Papyrus no longer believes in you!"/glowing orange eye schtick is retarded, but it manages to use that as a method of fleshing out Papyrus' character.

Sometimes the fans can keep it together and not flanderize everything. Sometimes.

Blue and orange are complementary colors, and Sans and Papyrus are polar opposites. So if bad time Sans has a glowing blue left eye, then bad time Papyrus obviously has a glowing orange right eye. Nothing more than color theory 101.

Papyrus does not have Orange anywhere in his color scheme. His primary color motif is RED. Not orange. RED.

If Sans' eye flashes cyan and yellow, so would Papyrus' eye.

So, it would be more accurate for Papyrus' right eye to be YELLOW rather than ORANGE.
