Incomprehensible Control Panels

What the hell were they thinking?

Exactly, what the hell were they thinking? Making the auto stick look exactly like a manual

step aside peasants

As much as I hate cars that look like they were designed by focus groups and a huge committee, at least they never end up with something that looks this bad. I cannot fathom how something like this makes it into production.

>koeningseggesegssgesgseg that costs a gazillion dollars
>$40 Walmart head unit

...

Looks like the shower control unit at my grandpa's house

what does the "my car" button do?

I think it lets you view additional menus and settings.

Fucking kek

...

Their interiors are a lot nicer now

...

>no giant metal dildo stickshift
Ruined

...

user the Regera has no gears, it's direct drive

i don't it look kind consistent and *gasp* cool.
too bad it's still underpowered piece of shit

what is confusing about that? every function is as clear as day. what is it you find confusing??

also: that a Volvo?

...

Hey I remember I had one of those as a kid

ruined by that made-up carbon fibre pattern
ugh
the seat branding is a bit Sears-ish, too. Could just as easily say Kenmore.

>2017
>manually dialing phone numbers
GUYS DONT DO THIS

user that's real carbon fibre, probably a part of the tub

...

When will Lamborghini just admit they really want to build a jet fighter

Volvo owner here

'08 S40T5 has a very similar interior, but WAY simplified. That new layout is way too complicated

Not confusing but unsatisfying

More like a stealth bomber the way their new cars look

Too bad they're not stealthy in the slightest

get back in your miata faggot

>Buttons you can't feel

not bad desu, i enjoy it. easy layout, simplistic, at least its not retarted with buttons allo ver the dash. plus every single girl that entered my volvo has complimented the waterfall dash, for some reason girls hella dig it

How on earth is that simplistic? Simplistic doesn't mean 8 gazillion buttons.

It is on a static picture from up close. When you're driving and the car is moving, that's when you try.

This right?? Check the new Peugeot 3008 interior out as well. Fucking amazing but it's a damn shame it's in a weak, lame ass family city "SUV".

>no indication of speed whatsoever
Wouldn't that make it rather illegal to road?

Speed is on the right
The vehicle is stationary

Most of this controls are set before moving. And even if you want to change them on the go it takes little brain power to memorize what is where and find it just by hand looking at the road.

Where?
On the right:
>oil pressure
>oil temp
>odometer
>trip counter
>0-100% unknown function (2 off)
>attitude indicator (it's this isn't it)

And if you are going to suggest that last one is the speed indicator, I'd have to say that is a completely retarded way of displaying it.
If you want an airplane readout just fucking make one. Making it look like something else with an entirely different function is just being deliberately stupid.
Hint: Digital HUD speed indicator is usually just a plain number counter on most a/c. Saves space. Less distracting movement.
I kind of like it. It looks better than just one number like in most non dial solutions (if I understand how it works, with numbers 20, 40 etc moving vertically)
I don't like tacho...

Hint:spoilers dont work here sweetie

The Peugeot 3008 is sexy as fuck and damn I love Peugeot steering wheels.

better than pagani.

but it's pretty easy on the car they copied it from.

And the head unit is from a 90's rover. A ROVER.

PUSHY BUTTONS

That check engine light tho

looks like it belongs on the set of Star Wars

It looks cool in a Last Starfighter sort of way, but I imagine it's infuriating in practice.

>any car with a touch screen

Not as bad as this dumpster fire.

...

How the fuck do you even use that

Fucking swedes

Ugh. The cluster in the center there.

Looks pretty standard to me. Radio controls are a whole different topic.

the worst part is that the instruments are in the middle as well

and now for something completely different.

>that wheel

>koenigsegg
>fake carbon fiber at any point

nigga what you smoking?

French quirk

volvo minimalist and cramped design looks confusing at first sight and on pictures, but damn its practical when you actually own the car and have all the buttons on the dash

...

You have to remember that the CCX and the Zonda were the products of the infancy of these companies. If you look at them now they're completely different.

Koenigsegg now uses a touch screen with multi-gesture support that can be used while wearing gloves. Quite why you would need multi-gesture support for an infotainment system is beyond me but I'm sure there's a reason. If you want to lower the AC temp while increasing the stereo volume at the same time perhaps. I'm sure Pagani has something similar.

>posting renders

Pic related is what you should have posted
>all that exposed carbon tub
>that carbon strut for the door mechanism
>the perforations in the leather instead of a basic speaker grille
>that receptacle for the key in the center console in the shape of the family crest
It's all so orgasmic

I'd still have black leather though.

Beyond me. Inconceivable panel

Looks comfy, maybe I have shit taste

Permanently on in a Lamborghini. Just don't venture far from a mechanic.

...

What's incomprehensible about this?

This piece of garbage abomination

>no one has posted the memetipla yet

It's like a fucking coffee machine, literally no tactile feedback, by this point just make it touch screen.

It even has touch screen... It's not a properly working one and you constantly have to switch between touch screen and that garbage plastic shit panel to do simple things.

Everything about that car is shit and whoever designed it should go to jail.

>Two biggest buttons are horn and high beams

oh, it's an italian car, alright

...

>the shifter is fucking non-buttons
>it's a vertical strip next to the fucking radio

>>the shifter is fucking non-buttons
>>it's a vertical strip next to the fucking radio

One Lincoln had to be recalled due to a fucking terrible design like this. People were trying to use the touchscreen and shut their cars off.

The fuck is this? Looks like it was designed to launch missiles than driving.

well you arent wrong

/thread

What were they thinking

Here is the previous generation for comparison

form>function

They probably wanted to save weight

it was futuristic at the time.

I wasn't complaining about the outdated style of the Lancia. I was complaining because having all the buttons in the middle of the steering wheel looks like a nightmare.

Form comes from function

And sometimes it's just autistic

Idk why this reminds me of spy kids

When steampunkfags go to far

Is this a steampunk car?

If I were spending six figures on a car, I'd expect an interior that doesn't look like some steampunk convention shit.

This is beautiful, totally get your point.

It looks like someone's office desk

I looked up the CARWINGS button, and it's far less exciting than it sounds.
