Is artifact hunting even worth it in Misery? It seems like it requires so much money to be able to afford all the equipment you need and to cover repairs when the whole point of it is to make money in the first place.

I have a question regarding anomaly fields, more specifically the Molten Lada and Hot Hind ones in the Garbage. I am guessing that these two fields are gar_smart_terrrain_3_7_anomal_zone.ltx and gar_smart_terrrain_3_7_anomal_zone_2.ltx, but because the files themselves are identical the artifacts for both spawn in the Hot Hind anomaly. If that is correct, what in the files determines which anomaly the artifacts spawn in and where would one find the info to point it to the correct anomaly?

Someone in the lat thread was going on about how u should change hit probability to 1. Can any genius do this for CoM?

the config itself is tied to each anomaly

so say i wanted to add golden_dildozer artefact to spawn in hot hind
i'd just add the artefact section to gar_smart_terrain_3_7_anomal_zone.ltx

start_artefact which has the artefact commented out is supposed to be the first artefact the anomaly spawns, probably commented out so it's more random.

then of course i'd have to add the artefact to the detectors so it can be detected.

unpack the all spawn so u can look for more info if needed

What I mean is that artifacts don't seem spawn in the Molten Lada anomaly at all, and if my memory isn't wrong I've seen more than 2 artifacts in the Hot Hind anomaly at once, which shouldn't be happening I think.

that's not a coc problem, (most) stcop weapons by default have the probability to 0.5, the novice bug just makes it worse setting it to 0.2, but unless they update stcop with the fixed defines and weapons ltx it will still be a missfest without the fix you linked

again, i'm sure they'll update it. otherwise what is the point of fixing it if you only fix it half way

Oh I just fixed it. Changing artefact_ways = gar_anomal_zone_conc_camp_1_way_1 to gar_anomal_zone_conc_camp_2_way_1 in gar_smart_terrain_3_7_anomal_zone_2.ltx worked. Thanks for recommending that I unpack all.spawn, the way_l02_garbage.ltx helped to figure it out.

>tick "in all subfolders"
>choose regular expression in search mode
>put your configs folder in directory
>click find all

>rightclick on results and click open all

>search for hit_probability_gd_master\D*=\D*\d(.\d+)*
>replace with hit_probability_gd_master = 1
>click replace in all opened documents
>do it also for novice (until coc 1.5 comes out with the fix)

I sold both from the Mercenaries at the Waste Processing Station, but not Morgan's.

atomsfear settings and gamma etc etc can help with that

Either hold on to it until Yanov or sell it to Owl if you don't care about siding with Duty or Freedom.

Same with the PDA you get from the spatial anomaly.

agree but since regular savescumming is too easy, personally I only make saves at major stalker bases. It makes visits to Pripyat just as immersive as playing with ironman on, but means you're less furious if you get dunked by a bandit in garbage.

I'm going to play stalker for the first time. I have Shadow of Chernobyl, and I hear that even if it's great it has a lot of bugs and is unstable. Anymods that improve the game in that way? I also don't mind if the mod makes the game harder, I enjoy difficult games, but the priority is stability, graphics, and still having a close to vanilla experience.

Any recommendations?

i wanted to try call of misery but i have a odd problem, basically it minimized itself after a second, to fix that i need to edit user.ltx to disable fullscreen, start the game and then change to fullscreen in the options, why does this happen?
