Combat Mission games are really great but people shouldn't be rewarding Battlefront for their absurd pricing structures. Buy the game, buy the engine upgrade, buy the expansion, buy the next engine upgrade, etc. That's pretty insulting to a consumer these days.

Any suggestions for Fallschirmjager regiments?
John Gutierrez
Bring those sexy guns in the support tab.
Nicholas Torres
what game?
Juan Fisher
Support flame infantry is never worth it. Two man squads insta die, and its only acceptable with AT launcher teams because you have no alternative.
Why the fuck do you have so much command infantry? Why two cards of Kubel Munitions> why no phase A at guns? why no anti tank plane in your deck?
Garbage out of 10
Jason Cooper
>cant read the replies damn son

Better?
John Turner
yes but i recommend replacing 1 mortar card with off map meme tillery, and replaing the BMW bike with phase b recon autocannon
Kevin Perry
get rid of a recon team to fill out your inf tab that's the one that should always be filled.

How different is Red Dragon from Normandy? I got Normandy and it's okay, (I'm hilariously awful at it) but the cold war speaks to me a little more dubya2, unless they release an eastern front xpack. (Planes excepted.)
Is the interface roughly the same? Am I totally wrong and Red Dragon is a completely different sort of game?
Asher Carter
RD is more complicated. More unit types and interactions between them, faster pace, more units per player (but less micro for each unit).
You can see the interface etc here , it's less functional than SD - for example there's no line of sight tool. I think the game overall is prettier.
I think RD and SD are similar types of game, but SD is a bit more mainstream, simplified to make it easier to get into.
Jose Reyes
>faster pace misspoke, meant to convey that the units are more responsive and as a consequence theres overall more situations where you're like "react in 2s or your important unit will get blapped by this fast-moving threat"
Oliver Long
eugensystems.com/steel-division-week-one/ >"We’re also testing the long-awaited Observer Mode for multiplayer, and a balance patch is also on its way. Some (very) cool stuff is also coming, but it’s a bit too early to talk about it." You ready for another wave of Scottish nerfs?
Michael Adams
you mean tiger buffs
Michael Harris
doesnt RD have really expensive boat units to bomb mainland too?
They just need to decrease the req cost of Tiger II P and Tiger II H
I'm not even meming.
Xavier Thompson
they also need to increase veterancy on allied armor divisions
Josiah Kelly
This is the 88mm Flak. Say something nice about her!
John Peterson
amazing troop training tool pushing it through the fields really builds character
Nolan Smith
>tfw it takes 3 minutes to unlimber and ready an 88 to fire in real life >takes about 1 second in Steel Division
Angel Johnson
its something that kind of annoys me with guns on carriages in this game >crew can set up gun and fire in the time it takes a tank to turn its turret and aim
why even have tanks
Luke Richardson
People are now complaining that Im winning through cheap spam rush but what else are you supposed to do wait until your panthers lose the game for you? halftracks and at guns for days
Aiden Edwards
i've been having much more success with fallschirmjäger divisions especially because planes are so sturdy compared to RD
sometimes i just wish i had an ally with an armored division though makes offensives a bit easier
Evan Martinez
i can be your tank ally bro

I could almost accept questioning the existence of tanks when Hinds exist, but the west refuses to make an equivalent of them.
Isaiah Turner
>I could almost accept questioning the existence of tanks when Hinds exist,
Simple, it takes a fraction of the time to train a tank crewman than a helicopter pilot, the things are incomparable in terms of operating difficulty. African warlords can somewhat commandeer a tank, good luck getting a helicopter up and running and used in combat.
Justin Rivera
Steel Division isn't fun to play against pubbies
Oliver Jenkins
Its a very fun game if you don't like challenge.
At leas the AI in Steel Division is better than in Wargame.
Henry Perez
I enjoy the game but playing in matches with pubbies on your team is amazingly frustrating
Joseph Jones
>still no sound mods
Logan Taylor
I dont see how great the ai is. Maybe because I havent done the singleplayer. Its great eugen included that the ai takes over for leaver players but usually the Ai just masses swarms of infantry as artillery bait and herps around for me.
Though thats an annoyingly effective strategy to grind offensives to a halt. So theres that.
Henry Gonzalez
>Join a game against a stack on Colombine >3rd FSJ and Spoiled Squirts on the Axis >101st and me as Red Devils on Allies. >I take the town with Paras after a naval bombardment opening >Push past the factory into the area where all his mortars were >Get 1 squad in a building and it they fight off 2 FSJ and 1 leader trying to get rid of them >Stack quits
I wanted a decent game lads
Joshua Cook
Having played quite a few vs Ai matches just to try out divisions I think its a great improvement over the previous "Rush all day, everyday" Ai in Red Dragon. If you put me against a medium AI and told me it was a player, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.
Blake Moore
On the flip side, 2v2s with a friend are great.
Sebastian Hill
Quoted wrong guy sorry
Charles Wilson
Mobility is great sure but in this game everything is slow as fuck.
Cooper Rivera
The difference between a crewed weapon and a tank is night and day though.
There are also other advantages to armour that crewed weapons don't enjoy.
Justin Mitchell
AT guns move at a literal snails pace though, and good luck if it gets caught in the open by a fighter

Units take more damage on the move, and they were running within 100m of the paras, who were in a building. I had a mortar firing on them too

You also have literally days in advance to position troops and equipment in real life. In SD you have about 180 seconds at the start of the match.

Theres a lot of people who just don't understand how to play.

Gavin Williams
I found it super easy, some people struggle.
SD it the game I always wanted WG to be so I guess that helps.
