They already do it, insurance companies should only assess the value of your vehicle and the likelihood of you crashing it, but they don't. Not a Hybrid or EV? That's a price rise. Doesn't have expensive features like parking sensors? That's a price rise. Not an Automatic? That's a price rise. It looks remotely sporty? That's a price rise.
