And it'll BTFO the opponents

DIESEL

And it will sell as well as the sedan.

gentle reminder the Giulia just got BTFO by the 350hp Cayman S and the 2 ton E63S

Italishills will defend this

>got btfo by a 2 seater sports car
>got btfo by a super saloon a segment above
wew
Really makes you think.

Now imagine a 4C with the Giulia's V6. That would even BTFO a 911.

You mean outselling the XE?

Not bad for their first try isn't it?

They're covering the development costs and this is the most important thing for the moment.

The Giulia has better power to weight ratio than the E63 and is on much stickier tires and when you compare both cars Nurburgring times (e63s 7:55 giulia 7:32) the Alfa should've been way faster but in reality it just is a disappointment.
The E63S is bigger and supposedly worse handling than the smaller category cars.

Well, if it was faster where it counts, what does your shitty comparison matter?
You answered to your own question :^)

Friendly reminder that german paid car journalists did review comparisons confronting 3 doors coupe (M4, C AMG coupe, RC-F) models against the Giulia pretending that was normal.

Second friendly reminder that the English version of a german magazine (autocar uk) tested the Cayman against the 4C which was driven in Dynamic mode (not race thus not using 100% the engine and no safety controls) with a full tank (the Cayman was in reserve)

Alfa Romeo seriously made many people butthurt in Germany

>ungoverned Ring time counts
>same day same driver lap times don't count
Holy shit alfa fanboys are the most annoying retards ever

It's faster on the 'Ring, that's all that matters. You just said so yourself.

The ring time does not matter.
It was an ungoverned lap time where the manufacturers could set up the car whatever way they want and use whatever tyres they want just in order to achieve the best lap time.
Real life track tests with stock production cars show the car's true performance.

Friendly reminder that paid Italian journalists actually tried to claim that the Giulia was faster than the M4 GTS on a racetrack.
FCA is so desperate to sell the Giulia they're pumping millions in the marketing yet it still sells like 20 cars per month in the USA lmao

The Nurburgring is more representative of everyday roads, ergo a better way to measure day to day performance.

VIR is like the Nurburgring too.
And you won't be driving ''day to day'' on public roads like on a racetrack btw.

Anything can outsell the XE. Also it's not on the same class as it.
And it will never outsell the the C class or the M3. Nobody will buy the giulia to tell their friends that it beat some other cars in a track.

>Also it's not on the same class as it.
Yes it is.

That's like comparing a tiburon to a miata. Sure there 2 seaters, but they are worlds apart. Way to dodge the argument though. You are indeed an honorary italian.

The XE and the giulia are in the same segment. What the fuck are you saying?

>both niche compact executive cars with 4 and 6cyl engines
>not the same

The one handles like a pig and it's bought by people in their 60s, and the other is italy pride and joy that is really fast. So yeah, apart from the chassis, they are pretty different. They are in a different mindset if you want to say it like that.

Jaguar isn't Italian tho?

>excuse me what the fuck.jpg

The D premium segment is composed by these cars:

>Alfa Giulia
>Audi A4
>BMW 3er
>Jaguar XE
>Lexus IS
>Mercedes C Class
>Infiniti Q50
>Volvo S60
>Cadillac ATS

They are part of the same group and therefore compete with themselves, and each one of them has its own featured and capabilities.

Also, the Jaguar XE according to English media has the overall better handling in the segment (English media always praise their cars and shits to foreign cars especially Italians and French), Jaguar itself broke our balls for months claiming MUH LIGHTWEIGHT STEELS, MUH LUNAR ALUMINIUM FOR EXTRAORDINARY PEFORMANCE and so on.

That car is a failure and Jaguar should stfu.

The Giulia is also one of the most comfortable cars and indeed has the best suspension setup and steering...Alfa managed really to btfo the established experts of the D segment after 30 years of FWD sedans at their first try.

Daily reminder that both Giulia and Stelvio are massive, unreliable failures and Alfa Romeo soon be only a thing of the past just like Lancia.

>things that your parents say about your homosexuality

What did he mean by this?

It'll be a thing of the past once you'll be hanged for your sins

>heretic spotted

The Giulia even was showing ''mechanical glitches'' on the LL 17 event, christ what a garbage car.

>Giulia breaks down
>they don't specify what happened
>(((English car journalists)))

You know how you fix this? ADs on their pages, just like any german car maker does.

their cross-over sold very well though i keep seeing them everywhere

and it will share 85% components with the engineering marvel of modern automotive, the Dodge Dart.

yfw 90% of guilias sold have been back in the garage already

>implying they ever left

Thought Tiburon was 2+2...

I bet it would sell better if A) it didn't have some gay as fuck name and B) it didn't have that stupid fucking triangle grille.

>camaro beats the porsche

gross

Remember when people actually thought the Giulia would be a success? I've seen 2 Giulias and 1 Stelvio on the road so far. They haven't even payed off their Superb Owl ad yet. FCA exhausted all of Maseratis brand recognition and Alfa didn't even get off the ground. What badge can they slap on a Chrysler 200 next to generate a year of hype? Maybe bring Lancia to the states with a V6 shitbox called a Stratos?

Literally what? Every review out there praises the XE's handling. It beat the Ats which already beats the 3 series, the original golden standard.
Alfa is dope but don't just spout random bs like a busrider

>QUADRIFOGLIO starts at $72k

it's too fucking expensive

if they can sell the quadrofaggio coupe at $55k and it comes with a manual i might consider it
