What's a reliable, cheap and fun to drive car from 1990-2000 that is cheap to maintain?

What's a reliable, cheap and fun to drive car from 1990-2000 that is cheap to maintain?

unironically 3k civic

also, read the sticky

...

...

However many Twingos you can afford

...

a saab, we've had 5 saab's including a 900S like the one in your img, and while they ALWAYS have something faulty they never stop working, never

>reliable
>fun to drive
>cheap to maintain

CRX

even the quattro is a worse car than a GC impreza.

Saab 9-3 2.0t I think that's 2000?

was literally a life changing experience for me

first gen or 2nd gen SS ?

Any small Nissan like sunny, lucino or pulsar
>light weight, enough power, easy to find in Manuel
>go for a few g
>engines tough as fuck
Learnt to drive Manuel in one, never had any problems even though it was thrashed
>cons:
>fwd
>all the nissans I had the cigarette lighter didn't work

E39

Not the M5 though unless you're good with a wrench

You could also go for the honda prelude with 200hp

>BMW
>reliable (heh)
>cheap (not in the long run)
>fun (sure, the few times it's not in the shop)

>parroting memes
Thanks for letting us know that you don't know shit about cars

>cheap
>reliable
>bmw
pick two

>reliable
10 years and counting from me, 22 in total
>fun to drive
Good enough
>cheap to maintain
40mpg if you don't drive like a spastic, VW parts are everywhere and cheap as dirt, and it's not built like a puzzle box so it's easy to work on
No-one gives a shit about overcomplicated and unnecessary awd.

I know you lot don't like 4rings, but that was quite low effort friends. Try harder.
>captcha: road vigilantes

it's just a myth, sure

>buying an Audi
>without AWD, its entire selling point over something like a Merc or BMW

Let's see my bmw is
>10 years old, 97k miles
>cost me 11k at the time I bought it, they're even cheaper now
>never had any issues other than replacing the water pump and rad hoses ($350 whoop-dee-fucking-doo, they last 80k miles)
>fun to drive and I love how it looks

Maybe you're talking about the M5 or other V8 models? In which case they can be demanding

Yup, if you actually knew anything about them you wouldn't parrot it like a dumb ass either

Being this buttmad about an overpriced Jetta.

Honda Del Sol

Like "selling points" matter when you buy seconds.
I think you mean Passat, freind.

You can do better than this.

>Passat
>literally the most boring car in Europe
>fun to drive

Passats make me want to pass gas

Why don't you climb down from your high horse and try one?
You scared you might like it and ruin your "street" image?

The Passat is an A6. The A4 is cramped, especially in the back, so no. I didn't mean the Passat.

My old man literally has one, faggot. It does what it has to and nothing more.

I've seen many user say the sticky is shit and out of date
Update when?

this thing with an inline 6 engine. one of the most reliable German cars of the last century

The B5 A4, B5 Passat and C5 A6 are all pretty much the same car mechanically, with the exception of the A4's rear suspension (which is a carry-over from the old 80). Besides that the only real difference is the wheelbase, with the A4 being the shortest, the A6 being the longest and the Passat sitting somewhere in between.

Honda Civic
Honda Accord
Nissan Sentra
Toyota Camry
Toyota Corolla
Geo Prizm
Geo Metro
Ford Ranger
Ford Crown Victoria
Mercury Grand Marquis
Chevrolet Cavalier
Buick Century
Oldsmobile Delta 88

Just to name a few.

...

>Buyers remorse:the post

Unironically this. Civic (Or, if you "need" extra space) a CR-V is great.

We've tried to update it, but its all generally the same cars. The prices will have changed but the suggestions are still good.

I would say Crown Victoria, but knowing how much improvements they got in 2003 I wouldn't get a year 2000.

1999/2000 mustang gt.

'98 CRV owner, can confirm this.

There's literally nothing wrong with the sticky.

11k BMW in a CHEAP DD thread..

Wtf is with all these bbw faggles ruining threads like these that are for CHEAP/RELIABLE/ AND FUEL EFFICIENT CARS
Which most of these qualities never apply to most old BMWs, and this is coming from someone who loves old BMW

Most old Honda's usually fit the bill perfectly because they never really break, and if they ever did parts are so plenty that it costs next to nothing to fix, and they're great in fuel and depending on the model can be fun cars, only problem with them is that theyre FF but that's it.
