the games until 5 were designed for the PC-98 platform, which would require an emulator. It's recommended you start either with the sixth (first Windows game) or the second game (as the first one isn't a bullet hell) and work your way up from there
some games aren't your usual bullet hells but should be played anyway
1: Arkanoid
7.5, 10.5, 12.3, 13.5, 14.5: Fighting games
The others follow the basics of the bullet hell genre but usually add a game play twist.

I'm playing Hard right now, can confirm the pic is accurate. Shit's hard when you try NoBomb Hard when you just got off Normal.

Years of FPSs and RPGs have made me unable to do anything in these games.

I had PCB installed for a while and I can get to Stage 4 on Lunatic or get to end of Stage 5 on Normal but I have to use up all my continues for that.

The worst is Stage 4 on Normal since I can do it perfectly without being hit once on stage 1-3 but then on 4 I use up nearly all my lives and continues. How do you do it guys? How can you even beat these, much less 1cc them.

Routing.

Practice, analyzing patterns, watching replays and try to copy how the other guy does stuff, using Homing shots, looking for the spaces the bullets create instead of looking at the actual bullets, focusing.

Basically a lot of stuff.
