What makes Rein "meta" is his barrier, which is the most any character has. Not to mention that it can be moved to whatever position is needed. His problem though is that he relies on his team to do the fighting for him while he has the barrier up. Not to mention that with Dive Comp making a comeback, his barrier is useless as Winston's shocks go through them and since melee goes through them too, he's susceptible to Genji damaging him and his team, who's another prominent figure of Dive.

I enjoy her playstyle, and with a good team she's powerful.

Gigantic durable shield, and probably one of the ults in the game that you need to be the most wary of when playing against. He's a giant mobile piece of regenerating cover that your team can use to safely travel through chokepoints or hotspots, but he also depends on your team actually USING that advantage rather than just leaving you alone with your shield up and spreading through five corners of the map to flank all at the same time

As the others here have said, he's a mobile shield and his advances on top of being a wall is a huge staple to doing a good push from low to high tiers.

If you want to get better regarding the part saying you're not good at him:
If your barriers taken a lot of damage and there aren't many enemies in sight, feel free to drop it and take advantage of your surroundings to shield you for a bit, it needs time to charge back up. Throw up a warning fire strike to ward enemies at worst and hurt them at best. Don't use your shield if you're peeking a corner unless you want a quick visual, your shield will expand and stray damage can effect it. When earth shattering, make sure no barriers are in the way or else it will be wasted.
