Names are never translated. = signifies western name order as opposed to Japanese, so the translator (i.e.not you) will obviously drop it.

This game doesn't get anywhere near enough love, one of my favourite h-games of all time. Anyone else looking forward to their new game coming out? They've just delayed it till the end of next month now though.

random encounters aren't inherently a bad thing, but since combat in most games is usually trash, they are usually detrimental. Of course, there's better options too, but it's understandable why some would choose for random encounters design wise.

When it's so easy to make patrolling enemies these days, making it just plain old random encounters is pure laziness. Like at least make it like pokemon where there are visible, designated shitting zones to have your fights in.

The counter increments randomly per step, so in a sense they are random. Most games with random encounters use a step counter with an incrementing encounter rate per step. It's just that EO made it visible (which was a pretty good design decision).

The encounter bar is filled randomly per step, so that sometimes you encounter enemy let's say after 5 steps and sometimes 10. Whilst you still have a chance to encounter one anytime between those two with some probability.
Not only that, the mobs that you encounter are also random.
