I have a few odd complaints but it's a lot better than any other Tekken I've played so far. Very solid game.

Practising backdash/sidestep is more important.

You will always want to have good movement in Tekken, there's always going to be a situation where you'll be like "damn, I gotta back the fuck out and recuperate"

or "shit, the pressure is insane, I need to sidestep and hit him out of his mood"

or "this guy's really defensive, I need to bait out and attack and wiff punish with sidestep+launcher".

i was fighting a low health hei as yoshi, and i was getting cocky, tried to harakiri spin to win to finish him off, but i didnt input correctly and i just ended up doing harakiri, and he combo'd me off ground and won, i was so salty

you don't really hitconfirm in the same way as 2d most of the time. if its a punish you just need to know its a punish and commit to it. CH confirming is more a thing, which is often how you pick up bigger combos from stray hits. some are really easy to react to and you should add them to your repertoire asap. turn on counter hit in training and try to notice if any strings/moves really change on CH.

look at your stuff on a frame data list, small 10-12 frame punishes are generally going to be just like "1,1,2", or "2,2", some simple string. bigger punishes like launchers/hopkicks will be 14-18 or so. you aren't going to get full juggle combos all day, don't neglect regular string punishes like those 1,1,2's. hopkicks and launchers are supposed to be a commitment. they are like throwing out a dragon punch in neutral.

all characters have specifics though so you'll have to look into kazuya specifics.

this is probably the best record i've ever had in an online fighting game.

i am team mascot tier, i enjoy vs fightan even though i'm not very good. and any lag seems to disrupt me way less now we are not in super precise 3f jab 1f link 2D land, so i'm not raging at online shit. it's like a subtle kind of lag that you can't really see, only feel.

Just finished the main story mode. Been a while since I've played tekken and the fucking abusive input reading honestly made me feel like my hands were flippers for a while before I realised

Both were previous gen. They added a lot of free stuff in dark souls 3 so im thinking they will with Tekken. We still need platformer/side scroller mode and a fun mode

Compared to the usual it looks like T7 will have more support because it needs to sell its DLCs. I doubt story will be expanded but we could get more offline modes that aren't the paid one.

Yoshi is so fun but I heard he's not too beginner friendly. This is my first Tekken game since Tag 1 which I barely remember playing unless it was with my brother for fun. Would you guys recommend me sticking with him or playing someone more like Bob or King, two characters I also have my eyes on.

You can play all three, it's not like you have to stick with one. You'll realize soon why Yoshi isn't very beginner friendly, compared to the others.

All these hair accessories with "Ponytail Hairstyle Only" and there's only a single ponytail style for most characters. Expanding these options should be their next DLC.

you know the best thing about tekken is the block hits in combo mode right? select the move in the movelist and you get a demo along with the button rhythms for inputs that aren't the sample combos. anyway, watch the op vid on buffering. it's huge and changed my understanding of the game. you'll be holding the common buttons and rolling your finger to the next one. so chicken wing facelock is rolling from [2][1][3] use the same concept.
