This game seems pretty fun, but I'm concerned about depth?
There isn't depth in the traditional places in this genre (item builds, denying, etc) but there seems to be depth in other places? Such as multiple maps, different things to do on the maps, different team compositions, etc. I'm wondering if it is worth trying to put serious time into this game to get to Masters or if it's just a meme game that I should only play for fun.

While not traditionally deep, it's pretty satisfying to learn things like, for example, what maps your main is good on, when to modify your build. There's your comp, the enemy comp and the map to consider.

It's the dota-like subgenre and that genre comes with complexity even in the most watered down forms. You will always be able to learn something new like best build versus enemy team comp, best hero choice that matches your team comp, learning different roles such as tank vs support vs DPS, learning hero strength/weakness on each map, and if you get bored with all of that you can play a very difficult hero and try to master it

there is some depth, like pushing lanes on hanamura, but you can't do any strategy if your team isn't on the same page in my bronze shitter games, people don't respect merc camps, people will head into 3v5 fights, people will try to take boss when opponents are going to respawn, etc

Well with all due respect I have to say that your rank wouldn't allow you to see the depth of the game. You can have some idea, sure, but unless you get to the highest ranks and meet the most efficient players, you won't see the true depth of the game. It could be a deep or shallow game but if you are in Bronze, you wouldn't know either way.
