Gun laws and self defense is pretty complicated. In my state brandishing is very illegal, you can't even draw your firearm to de-escalate an assault unless you fire on the threat, since you're not allowed to draw your firearm unless you fear for your life or the life of someone with you and don't have any other options.

With that said, the part we don't see is what happened before the video starts. Apparently the rider was yelling at the driver long enough for him or the woman with him to round up some of the boys, pick a rendezvous point, and execute a plan. That changes what the rider was doing from simply yelling at a dumbass caged to harassment, and self-defense is effectively not legal for either side at this point, NO MATTER WHAT. At least in my state with the "duty to retreat." Since I do carry concealed, I would have dropped back and not kept up with the rider harassing the truck, and met up with my friends later.
