Cute

Could it be.. A modern car that doesn't have le angry eyes meme?

This.

It's the underdog, determination glance.
They mean business now.

Those proportions make my dick hard.
Everything feels fucking right about that concept.

A SPORTS COUPE HATCH FOR THE INCREASING SINGLE MALE POPULATION

depends.

maybe it has a clever room concept that turns the car into a 2 person bed!
reminds me of something

So how badly are they going to fuck it up between concept and actual release?

I really hope Honda is not bullshitting with the new concepts.
I'm slightly hyped already.

MASAKA!

Oni-chan?

The really numb and tired part in me says both concepts will go through several bloating stages until release but the other part has a spark of hope being surprised to see such concepts in the first place.

The proportions are actually completely unique in the whole IAA concept show while the competition either shows completely idiotic future shit that wouldn't work or production near cars that are just more of the same shit but advertised as progressive and groundbreaking.

>i have no mouth

inb4 stays like concept but Japanese release only

god that looks comfy

>he doesn't live in Japan
lol

HOLY SHIT.

No, take a closer look. The madmen even added a hidden Twingo smile.

The main reasoning behind the bloating originally was that hoods have to rise up so that there's more room between the semi-soft hood and the rock hard engine block when you run over some texting pedestrian.
The thing tho is that these are e-cars, so there's no hard engine under there, meaning they can make low front ends now again.

looks like a space age 1980s hatchback

has the 80s A E S T H E T I C gone too far?

yeah tumbling while cornering sure is comfy

>hoods have to rise up
word yo

Don't worry, bench seats aren't even legal anymore, it's just a design brainfart apparently

that's a 1970s hatchback
and not its not gone far enough

that looks kinda handicapped, my dude

>someone on Veeky Forums posts a picture of an Alfa Giulia shooped to twingo

>couple months later Honda unveils the concept in the OP

Really sends your noggin joggin

I fucking swear designers lurk here

dem diabolic windows

...

Sweet.

shut the fuck up

Honestly looks like a smug pepe, can someone make this?

>claims to like Japanese cars
>doesn't live in Japan
shiggy diggy

Put a 1.6 tarbo in it, take on the FiST

Not a fan of the doorstop shape, but the headlamps remind me of a first generation Escort and it's making me moist.

Fuck angry eyes, literally every car I want and can realistically obtain has roundies.

It's like a robo-Twingo.

Looks like an Ep3 with a fucked up face and side windows. Not bad tho if they drop some crazy engine setup in it and sell it for cheaper than the competition.

>fucked up face
It looks miles better than the uggo Type R face.

>bench seats aren't even legal
Nearly all modern trucks have a bench seat option and can seat 6 pretty comfortably

We get to play Mirror's Edge while driving? That's rad.

It's the huge unused space under the grill that makes the concept weird like there's something that was supposed to be there.

It's probably where they'll put the huge 'active aero' vents on the type R version.

Fucking dammit, Honda. The dream is dead.

I just found an article from fucking 2012 about it and the guy had the right idea:
"[...]but given Honda's propensity for draining the personality from its concepts on the way to production (at least the ones that don't look showroom ready), we don't hold much hope for the Gear."

Same will probably happen with the Urban EV. Fucking losers.

forgot the link: autoblog.com/2013/01/18/honda-gear-concept-explored-at-montreal-auto-show/

...

it was too pure for this world.
and honda is faggot.

we do.

This is fucking dope.

The thing I can't stand with any car though is seating position, these small cars almost always have shallow footwells and wheels that don't telescope far enough. This is why I have a hard time driving anything other than my BMW

Why do the cars you design look like garbo then?

its four years old :'(

>but the other part has a spark of hope being surprised to see such concepts in the first place

There is definitely something to this. I would never in a million years expect modern day Honda to put out a concept like this, and yet they did.

honda has always had progressive designs like the civic 2 gens ago or so.

Spoopy

make it MR and manual and I'd be all over that shit
please don't be just another boring FF hatch

well honda fucked it up either way, like always, see

Rest in pepperoni, we hardly knew ye

So I guess this won't happen either, despite them officially saying it will come 2019 to Japan and Yurop

This looks so much better than the current bs aesthetic Honda has. I havnt hates a car more than the current gen civic with the gay lights and black plastic wheels.

OOOOOOO!!!!!
Bro, I want a standard cab long bed pickup that's not fuckhuge and $55k. Can you just do something like the old c10 squarebodies? What was wrong with that? Thanks.

well if it does it'll look nothing like that
at best it'll turn into a "special" version of the Fit with bench seats or something

It really does.

Hence I really CAN NOT see this happening at all.
Most likely it will have tree sized pillars, microscopic windows and the front similar to the Civic only smaller and more cramped and constipated looking

It seriously looks like some old designer from the 80's and 90's era came back for a last visit, doing a model and leaving for good.

I would do horrific, horrific things for a 3-door fit.

The refreshed Fit got shrunken fake vents, probably in response to the backlash against the Civic. I like to think they're learning.

>bench seats

Bench seats are the first thing that gets thrown out because not legally possible anymore

im not fond of this kind of subcompact hatchback, but I love the front's look.

i think we're overdue for a 21st century revival of the sealed beam look

was about to write that.

just look at that furry carpet... makes me wanna take my shoes off.

the front is fucking hideous

Yeah. The headlights don't even come to a sharp point half way up the fender. Looks like my granddad's car lol.

Oh shit, I like this.

>mfw UK
>mfw could just import it with zero issues

t. modern auto """designer"""

feels good to drive on the correct side

We do

Downloading Maya over torrents does not make you a car designer

"!"

OOOOOH look at those wide windows. We need more cute looking 3-door mini hatches

looks like it's supposed to resemble the first two gens of civics
