They are truly the ultimate sleeper. And totally doable as your only car/DD. Tons of room inside and quick enough for anything you want to do with it. Also they are super great for autocross and easy to tune/mod and parts are cheap. Keep a watch out; they are pretty rare. When you do find them, most GT's I've seen are auto and/or convertible.

I always wanted another but a with a stick, and now that they're pretty much going for the same price as a 15 year old Corolla, Im in a better position, and I have found two within 200 miles of me which is good

Some stuff is tough (timing belt sucks balls) but I meant the mods'n'sheit are simple and cheap. You can work on the engine/trans, it's just trickier and requires pulling the battery, airbox, and intake. Luckily the engines are beefy as fuck and don't need tons of work.

It's an IS200 wagon, but identical to the 300 in every way apart from it having a 6 speed manual and a 2 liter straight six instead of the 3 liter.
It's a great car. Comfy, perfectly balanced (51F / 49R) with a great chassis and is surprisingly practical. All seats can be folded down. Including the front passenger seat, which makes for a great road-trip table.

I have some 6'4" friends and they have no hope in hell of fitting on the back seat of my '04 Skoda Octavia wagon And I love the folding passenger seat. When I was a kid my dad used to take my brother and I to the fish market in his old V40 and we'd eat fish off the folded down passenger seat like that. We joked that my mum could never come for fish because the seat'd be down

It's got no more spacious seating than the sedan (identical, in fact), but it fits me (6'2") decently "behind myself".
The ideal back seat position is this one.
