Pardon my limited knowledge, but I remember one comic they both interacted before in one of the Sonic Universe comics and the way Blaze and Shadow interacted made me like Shadow a little bit more from a mainly dislike.

My memory is shitty, user and I didn't really read the comics, I just bought one issue from a comic book store when I was younger
But I remember that Shadow was teleported to Blaze's world and he was trying to take on Metal Sonic and he had to use him to go back to whatever initial place he was in. Additionally, I remembered that he never treated Blaze like he normally does and they had like a nice camaraderie/partnership in such a short time, but he does get (understandably) pissed off to Marine for knocking Metal Sonic far away.
I really hope someone can explain what happened better than me.

What are the important things to know for making a Sonic OC?
I want to be prepared for Forces. Making sure character is one of the types in game. Cat seems best since Lions and Tigers are cool.
I love how Sonic's in the background, just watching the chaos mate.
I think I wrote something about it once, about how it's fine to insert an OC and you can have your own moments of awesome here and there, but at no point should you EVER make the main character look bad or overshadow them.
In a create a character feature, however, things work a bit differently. Basically I'd advise whatever looks best to you.
