Why do ameritards do this shit?

Why do ameritards do this shit?

>be burger
>working entry or near-entry-level job making less than 30k a year
>feel the need to waste money in the stupidest way possible
>instead of opening up to cars 1-3 years old giving yourself very low mileage options, but still like 6x the selection of new cars, decide need something new
>buy and have it lose 20%+ of its value the second you sign the papers
>have no money left for anything actually necessary and bitch to everyone about how minimum wage needs to be higher

Why? Why are American people so stupid? New Corolla with no options-19k before taxes and shit. 2-3 year old LOADED Corolla with less than 15k miles-$15-18k. Do people not realize the smugness about owning a new car lasts about a week until someone rear ends it then drives off without leaving a note? Then you realize how fucking shitty a base model car is and cry yourself to sleep because your car is lacking features you didn't know it was possible to lack.

Americans don't know how to use money when they get it. There's going to be a couple generations of morons with way less retirement money than they thought they had in a few years.

Right, because every American works a minimum wage job. I mean, I get your post, and agree, but I'm absolutely positive you can find retards who do this across the world.

Right but it's a huge thing in America because severe mental retardation from fluoride, sugar, and BPA

for the same reason the iphone x is going to outsell every previous model despite it being a piece of shit.

the way the world should be is that everyone works a super easy job and gets paid a shitload of money and gets free healthcare and liberal freedoms and the ability to do whatever they want within reason

so buckle up and get ready for that

>fluoride, sugar, and BPA
Ahhh, I get it now. You're one of those people

>be euro poor
>new cars are expensive as shit due to LMAO taxes.
>even used car prices are expensive
>gasoline is expensive due to LMAO taxes
>all these taxes are used to support Ahmed and his 10 children

Woah I am soo mad at group of people who lives 100000mile away, omg why, why do they do this ??? Waaaaa, omg noooooo

if you make 25-30k would it even be smart to get something in that low mileage used range in the first place? I've always heard you shouldn't get something that would cost more 20% of your yearly income

its funny cuz its true.

Woah man, thank you for telling me I've been retarded all this time. It all makes sense now.

>T. Jamal Shaniqua Rodriguez

>100000mile
this is what happens when your government doesn't pay for your education

Yuropoors would do this too if they could afford to get their driver's license (literally $5,000 USD for a license lmao). Americans do it because they can. Yes it's retarded, but yuropoors would do it as well if they didn't live in a retarded socialist hell hole.

I really don't understand why anyone would ever buy a new car unless it's some limited run 200 unit thing that will only rise in price. For the price you pay and what you get buying a used car gets you so much more for so much less.

As long as you live within your means it's fine. I pay less than 2000 a month for all of my bills and expenses aside from my car. I bring in a little over 5000 a month. So I mean i could realistically pay for a lease on an 80,000 dollar car but I don't. I drive a 20,000 used car that I got a hell of a deal on. As long as you're not the type of person that blows all of their pay on drugs, clothes and stupid shit you'll be fine paying for a more expensive car if that's what you really want.

We're brainwashed from birth that buying things is what successful people do. Buying new is seen as being better. you don't want to look like a loser, do you?

>taking it literally

And this is what happens when you lack any type of human interaction other than your parents growing up. Congrats.

If you're gonna buy a used car you have to think "Why did the previous owner sell this?"
If it was rented or leased, they drove it like they stole it.
If the PO bought it new and lost value the moment they drove it off the lot, isn't that just motivation to keep it as long as possible and get your money's worth? In which case something must have really gone wrong if they sold it a few years in.
Or maybe they lost control of their bowels and there's forever shit particles in the seat that no cleaning could possibly eliminate, but they've hidden it well.

Buying used is buying someone else's problems and you're gonna have to deal with them at some point which will mean more money spent than just the car payment and oil changes. If I could afford it, I'd buy new.

inb4 someone cherrypicks about classics, project cars are a different matter since you're rebuilding it yourself.

Buying new means spending more and spending even more on maintenance because modern cars are built like pieces of shit.
Buying new, not even once.

>I really don't understand why anyone would ever buy a new car unless it's some limited run 200 unit thing that will only rise in price
Jew spotted.
Cars are not investments you fucking kike.

Yeah but I could just buy that same used car in a year and save 10k. So why would I waste 10k just to drive it off a lot?

I read somewhere that only 3.5% of the US population has decent savings. Everyone else is just spending all their cash.

like i give a fuck nigga

i want it optioned the way i want

Because new cars are fucking nice. You can be sure it was never wrecked or the engine redlined when cold.

Also, where I come from all cars have clocked odos.

People buy dumb stuff here. At least goods are cheaper but too many people buy dumb shit and live outside their means.
Still prefer it here than Europe

Don't forget Jews, user. Obviously Jews run the US too

Because a year later on the used market it's got 900+ farts in the driver's seat, the tips of the tranny gears ground off, melted chocolate bars under the floor mats, and the same oil in it as the day it drove off the lot.

A driving test is £30, if you don't want to pay for lessons your dad can teach you or something.

Because I live in the south so 95% of used cars got hooned by niggers, rednecks, or spics and every maintenance interval was skipped.

Also

>non Americans calling Americans poor

We have much higher PPP than the vast majority of the world, including most of Western Europe. And we only fall behind a few because racial demographics (nigs and spics dragging down the median).

I buy new cars only because I'm not poor and I want peace of mind with my vehicle. If I buy knew I KNOW that car isn't going to leave me stranded. Used? It's a coin toss and my time is too valuable to be left without a vehicle for any amount of time.

Hahahaha you think we actually use real sugar here?

Because I want a car that hasn't been damaged?

There's no such thing as a used car that has never received damage

You show me a used 35K mile corolla with a ***PERFECT FACTORY SPEC ALIGNMENT*** and I'll give you a dollar.

My dad bought a manual L corolla for $15k new. It's going to be his car for the next 250k miles like his last car so he doesn't really care about depreciation. He doesn't buy used since he's paranoid that the previous owner didn't change the oil/ran it hard/whatever. I'm not saying he's right, but that's what he does.

I live in the US, fucktard.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar

Table sugar is one kind of sugar. Any non-retard sweetener is some type of sugar. Sugar does not mean table sugar unless you're a complete dumbshit.

so mental retardation and the government and corporations encouraging a wasteful reckless lifestyle?

8/10 times it's some bimbo that thinks a test drive for 10 minutes and the salesman's word means it's a good car. Rebuilt titles are even better because they're stupid cheap because no one wants them but as long as it's rebuilt and not salvage, you save a fucking ton of money that you can put back into the car or save for more important shit.

>Yeah but I could just buy that same used car in a year and save 10k. So why would I waste 10k just to drive it off a lot?

Have fun with your flooded car from Houston. Research title washing.

>Buying used is buying someone else's problems and you're gonna have to deal with them at some point which will mean more money spent than just the car payment and oil changes. If I could afford it, I'd buy new.

Well said, this applies to houses as well.

Could have saved 4k buying it with 15,000 miles and with modern oil there's absolutely no possible way even if it never had a change that permanent damage was done to the engine. Might have worn a hair extra but that just means it'll go 560,000 miles instead of 600,000 miles.

lol I bet you only date virgins

Generally, the depreciation you are thinking of is for problem cars, good used cars are typically priced significantly higher than what you expect.

I like to think it's because buying used cars of Craig's list and used car dealerships suck ass here in the US and they rather not want to deal with "unexpected" mechanical problems so they go to dealer ships and by a new econobox because silly Suzy likes the sound of "free" warranties and maintenance plans than sometimes come with a new car. There now end this dumb thread.

I'm not him but I wish there was a car fax but for women so that way I can know what girl has fucked a Tyrone or not and how many dicks she has taken

>Right but it's a huge thing in America because severe mental retardation from fluoride, sugar, and BPA
People are just retarded to begin with.

the car i have is still worth the same price that i got when it was new, granted ive had it for about a month but still thats like awesome since i drive a lot and have 8k miles on it already thanks irma and harvey

>Rebuilt titles are even better

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

>We buy cars from ALL over the country, and as far as I know there really are no "title washing" states anymore. About the closest I know of is in Kentucky, with the proper paperwork (including repair estimates) you can get a car with a certificate of destruction or unrepairable salvage title from another state titled with a Kentucky salvage title, which then you can get a rebuilt title

El oh fucking el

Also, we just had this thread on why buying used is a bad idea

Go read it. Maybe we should have another thread.

that's a pretty specific scenario you're pointing out, fuckface

SEMPER FI TIL' I DIE

KILL 'EM ALL.............LET GOD SORT 'EM OUT.......................................................

And buying used is a good idea? Fucking lol God no. I'd rather spend 10k on a well maintained car 10 years later than 60k. 70k or even 80k just to take the plastic off the car

I'll answer it for you
>be dumb bitch
>walk into stealership
>get talked into getting a used toyota corolla for "$26,000"
>sign papers then and there because "they can scam you thats illeagle!!!"
>long-term pay $32k for a car that was owned by a smoker without even knowing it

Most people here just think that new has to be better and that just because stealerships are a part of a bic co. they're too big to scam you.

>are a part of a bic co. they're too big to scam you.

big* co.

fuck

Even if you save the """"20%''''''' depreciation you'll just have to spend that on maintenance and repairs later. And your car is old and used so you'll loose money when you go to sell it.

tldr: You're going to lose money anyways. Why not lease and have no worries?

actually no fuck it. NEW THEORY:
>Bic is charging car dealerships more for ink pens
>Stealerships inflate to adjust for this expense

>buying a used car for over 10k
>buying a carolla, new or used, for over 20k

what

I know it's hard to believe but I know someone who did this and was too stubborn to return it within the 2 weeks they were given

30k is what most Americans earn

people making that kind of money are usually borrowing the money for the car, getting a loan for an older vehicle, maybe not two or three years old but 5 or so, will often get turned down by a lot of banks if you make 20k a year and have little credit history, or just straight up bad credit but yeah thats everything.

You can get a dealer financed somewhat older cars at many scummy used lots but the interest is dumb and most likely the car is a totaled out shit box.

Many new dealerships will advertise things like "if you make 400 a week bring a paystub and you are approved for this 2017 altima" or whatever. Poor people eat it up, they think hey its a new car it will reliably get them around and be under warranty etc

>tips of the tranny gears ground off

You don't know how a manual trans works, do you.

>I'm not him but I wish there was a car fax but for women
Me too

There are signs, just like with a used car, but I'm not exactly an expert, and women, like salesmen, are crafty.

Planning on buying a new civic
Should i go with the 12k one for 21k+taxes or the new one for 25k+tax and freight fees
Canada fun bucks btw

Keep in mind that's 12 Asian or east Indian miles which are like 36k normal people miles. I don't know why you wouldn't get the new one. The used one will be worth less when you sell it because now it's a 2 owner car.

Not really.

>go to reputable dealership
>buy a 5 year old used car
>financed through my credit union
>no issues at all
Wtf I HATE dealerships now!

>tranny shits the bed
>not covered under the "bumper to bumper warranty"
>that will be $5k please
>Oh! It looks like you have the extended warranty which gives you a complimentary reach around
>cant make it to work now
>lose job
>?????

>buy car off of Craigslist
>have to spend 10k on a 3k civic a week after you buy it

>buy a new car from a dealership
>costs 20k more than the previous years used version
>have to fight with a salesman if anything goes wrong with it just to get it fixed for "free"
>not actually free because you're paying a fucking retarded amount for a new car
Hmmm

My coworker who's just out of trade school and who's still working part time did this for one of these new SUV/hatchback Hyundai abominations. Resisting the urge to call him a dumbass is pretty hard.

Don't you assholes put high-fructose corn syrup in everything?

Gee if only you could "rent" a car for 2-4 years and just give it back before any issues pop up. Wouldn't that be great?

used one has torsion beam axle for rear suspension so in other words go with the new one because its independent rear suspension

>be yuropoor
>it's a 2000 euro fine for giving someone the middle finger

So which is it?

When you try to buy a used car, flip a coin. Head and it's no go.

>implying it's a solely american phenomena

turns out its just a poor people phenomena.

>this triggers the euro cuck
>when you pay 3x as much as Americans due to the country's taxes to support Amir and his children
Makes me laff every time

Murrican here making about 30k/yr.

$23k car + housing + food and I still have money for vidya games and an emergency fund.

God bless the USA.
