Popping my head in quickly to pay my respects.

I never knew Richie but some of you guys seem to.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Rest in peace Richie.

>EF is busy doing over 260 MPH

>On his dick since his tweaker bitch left

>this guy blocks ur path while youre tryin to leave rhe Petro

what do

For me, personally, I ram into the back of him as a sign of dominance

Strip him naked and tie him to the front of his truck

2nd day of training at Swift. Guy refuses to give me any space and made me sleep in passenger seat because he won't share his bed.

We're you really wanting to share a bed or something?

Poof

>bills say MUST CALL FOR APP.
>call and leave two voicemails day of pickup.
>morning of give another call
>fuck, if these dicks aren't here to unload me I'll be furious

>"ok" response after 3 calls

The Neets are inheriting the world. Pretty soon I'll be snap chatting with brokers to get pickup numbers.

Then you'd suck him off, faggot.

Just because i'm queer doesn't mean i'll suck any dick waved in my face.

What's being queer got to do with you being a fucking faggot

Holy fuck.

That's an adventure.

>Mid-lecture, notices the guy's fly is open and his dick is hanging out

Normal for a trucker, yes?

At least his dick still works.
>dead birds don't fall out of their nests.

Where were you when richie pushed a 4 wheeler 300 yards down I 95?

What a shit driver he was. Only steeringwheel attendants do shit like that.

There are grub scumbags in every religion. It's like trucking attracts them...

Is this normal? I just did a god damn regen and this thing is telling me to do another one. I got shit to do dammit.

Hit the highway, put in the next gear below your top gear, rev the fuck out of it at 55-60mph until it goes away. That's how I dealt with my Pete 386 after idling all night.

I just went to a doctor and had the exam for my DOT Medical Card. The doctor gave me my copy of it, but I do I have to do anything else with it now to be sure that it's in the system? I tried talking to the RMV, but no one had any idea what they were talking about.

Should be electronic but you need to call your state DMV and make sure they have it.

It's not a Fuso Canter, so what the hell is it? What other small cabovers are available in the US?

Basically just google around (state) dmv cdl physical, should turn up a number of some kind

With that window line, either a gmc w5*** or an older Isuzu NPR I'd think

WE LOSING TIME NAO
Been at a shop for a few hours for a trailer ABS issue that they just can't figure out.

You're gonna get yelled at again. Trailer ABS isn't considered a required safety item so your boss is going to think you're goldbricking again

Actually I called our head of maintenance since the trailer ABS trouble light was staying on and not going out. He sent me straight to the shop so we wouldn't get in trouble with DOT anywhere and I notified dispatch right away. I checked in with dispatch again a minute ago and they said 10-4 let us know if we need to reschedule tomorrow's appointment.

Cookin in the dock
That's what's up bitches

>not cooking with tiddies out
What's a meal without an appetizer?

You need to stay hungry though

Report him, and get off that truck. Getting your body in the habit of sleeping on a seat will make you more prone to fall asleep while driving.

>Finally trailer is fixed
>Leave shop
>Hit open highway
>ABS light comes back on
REEEEEEEE

Do I get my CDL before applying to jobs? What kind of salary can I make after getting it? Is 1900 fair for a CDL A 10 spd manual course?

In a fit of rage today towards my boss/company, I may have signed a lease-op contract with Swift.

How can I undo this?

Most schools will help you apply for jobs while you're taking the class, and often also have company reps come by to pitch their company to rookies. $1,900 doesn't sound half bad for a CDL-A course with a manual truck. I (or rather Skyline) paid $4500. Check with whatever company hires you about tuition reimbursement.
u dun gooft

>Shop looked at trailer some more
>Verdict: totally screwed
>Can't get parts at this hour

Funniest looking ice i've ever seen.

What precipitated that happening?

Zozzle.

Its a part of the uniform.

Bruh. Fatiguexit when?

Do most companies typically do tuition reimbursement in exchange for a contract? What is the starting wage for truckers like? I currently make ~2500/month and want to do better. Would any driving positions exist where having a STEM degree would help? Transporting hazardous waste or something, idk

STEM? Maybe hit up your local linemen. I got a buddy that does that, says he had to get a CDL to drive the bucket crane truck, told me I'd have a leg up at least in that respect if I wanted to join him over there. He makes more than me, that's for sure. And yes, most companies offer tuition reimbursement in exchange for a 1 or 2 year contract with them.

Get a hold of your student co-ordinator immediately and tell them you need a new trainer, tell them exactly why. This is a safety hazard as well as against swift policy for trainers

You went full retard.

I've looked into being a lineman, it looks badass and I enjoyed my electricity/magnetism courses. Only thing that sucks is lineman school costs 15k

Yeah but you'd make a lot more than just being a trucker, and you'd be home every night. Pros and cons.

True. 15k in debt is a hard sell but then again I don't have any student loans from my stem degree and I own my home. So it would be doable

Let me put it this way: when you do the math, I make about $16/hr for ~60-70hrs a week, sleeping in the truck every night. My friend makes $25+/hr working 40-50hrs and going home every night. He said he makes $36/hr but that was during the aftermath of a nasty windstorm so I don't know if he was getting some sort of bonus pay. Either way $15k would be nothing.

What happens here?

Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks.

How goes it?

You fucked up royally.

Have fun explaining that to your boss. Great employee you are, jumping ship because things don't go your way.

Ah good point. Yeah I make 20/hr for ~35 hours of work per week so that pay bump would be huge in the long run especially since I plan on "retiring" in my 40s

>20/hr
>stem degree
I think starbucks would suit you better

What do you think we do? STEM degrees suck if you have no interest in post bacc. I love what I studied (for free) but it's no money maker.

Fuck

I wouldn't do that, not even at gun point. I did get accepted at Transport America for a decent gig there. 5 days on, 2 off, flat rate of $200 dollarydoos a day. Not lease-op though. I'd lose my truck to a casino.

Drove a 379 long hood the other day holy fuck was that thing a land barge they are so unpractical besides the cat motor I don't see why anyone would want one

End dump daddy here

>deliver material to some asphalt plant far as fuck away
>see my boomer Co worker there dumping already
>we load in that town and deliver to another far ass asphalt plant
>I fueled up before i got to the first spot
>last one to dump has to lock the gates
>he gets on cb and tells me stop at the gas station as he pulls in
>lol nope pass it I'm good on fuel
>a couple Minutes later see him in my rear view
>get there first and start backing to dump when I hear him on cb say scoot over so I can dump too
>fuck off it takes 5 min
>shoots in behind me while I'm backing like a faggot
>about to leave when he runs to my truck and asks me to follow him because he is literally out of fuel and might not even make it to the gas station
>tell him fuck no and speed off

>N I G H T D R I V I N G

>Later, the same day

drug screen user from last week or so here, went out in a truck for the first time yetserday for road test training. Was a bit nervous, didn't do anything stupid tho and made nice wide turns.
I'm looking forward to getting better

I used to love the night.

Almost everyone else is asleep. There is calm. It's much more relaxed. Three quarters of the population disappear, it's so peaceful.

I still stay awake most nights. I got too used to it. I sit and stargaze a lot.

>100/100 pic

>enough loose money to slap a ton of lights on the truck
>too cheap to immediately replace blown bulbs

You pimpin her out EF?

>Fatiguexit
Idk man, it's only Wednesday and I can barely fucking move. I completely slept thru my first 3 or 4 alarms this morning.

Every fucking day is literally 1.5 to 2 routes worth of stops and cases. Yesterday was 18 stops, 700 cases. A typical 10hr day is likd 12 stops with 400 cases.

Also I just want to stay up all night n talk to #2 but I fall asleep mid-convo and wake up to 10 missed texts.
>she needs a massage
>she will be all shaved n did n smoof as fuck

I was in Florida lmao. Everytime I went to Florida something bad happened to him. The first time, his dad died. The second time, he did that. The third time he died. He called my uncle for those except for when he died.

It's a shame because the truck didn't always look like shit, and neither did he.

#multidroplyfe

>all bonnet and no bunk
Poser.

I gotta make a Richie copypasta. It's only right.

Well what do we have here. Big tough guy I bet you think you are, waiting to talk shit on one of the best trucking legends to ever live while he's dead. You clearly have no taste in modern truck hot rodding so I'm not going to waste too much time on you. Project 350 will always be the original bad ass rig, the "Prototype" If you will. The man behind the creation was a genius innovator who had flaws like all of us. It's a shame we aren't all as perfect as you. Richie Acosta has more miles in reverse than you have going straight. When you log as many miles as someone like him, the road changes you. And it makes me laugh because you wouldn't dare talk shit about his rig or him to his face because he would level you right the fuck out. For his whole career he was used to dealing with punk shit talking Volvo drivers such as yourself who could only dream of crafting such a masterpiece. Richie used to say of people talk so much about you, you must be doing something right so keep on going with the pussy hater shit and you better hope I don't catch you in the rest area, faggot.

Looks like ass

>Night time is right time

It was kinda surreal to go 145 km down a major haul road for logging and oilfield and not see a single vehicle in either direction.

Wew lad. That's the definition of burning the candle at both ends. Be careful you don't hurt yourself or doze off while driving.

I like the truck overall, but that drop visor height is ridiculous.

>Skinny
>Tattooed

Zoz. The only thing that could make that dude more Russian looking is one of those blue and white striped shirts that the navy and airborne regiments wear.

>Night time is the right time

Fuckin' A it is, bud. Before I got turfed from my last job because of my back, i did chrismas fill nightshift for 3 solid months. It was so perfect. I would pick, pack, push orders through, tape the cartons shut and palletize them mostly on my own, had nobody around to bother me. I was actually given an award, and a promotion, zoz

>It was kinda surreal to go 145 km down a major haul road for logging and oilfield and not see a single vehicle in either direction.

Damn man. That's a perfect run. No feeling in the world beats that.
>MFW that feel

BANNNN EVADERRRR!!!1

Yeah, I prefer night driving, but not the necessarily the day sleeping that comes with it.

>Girlfriend
>Home cooking
>Doge companion
>Flat top Peterbilt 389

This kills the virgin, company cuckshedder.

The day sleeping is the worst bit. I almost murdered the people in the apartment above me.

After 3 months of doing night I had to go back to day. That fucked me right over, because it was January and we were loading so many trucks a day i had to adapt my sleeping patterns quick smart. The first day I got 2 hours sleep before shift.

Great money though.

If I could drive, i'd pick nights, always.

He can't fuel the truck without someone holding his hand?
Pathetic.

>decide to stop at out of the way TA for lunch
>Only options are burger or taco
>Take trip to pisseria to wash up
>Come back out
>Whole damn TA is crawling with elderly people
>Look out front, see two fucking megabuses
And that's how I waited 30 minutes for a burger

what

what does this have to do with permits

Yeah, their on boarding process was ridiculous but I start training the first week of October.

They have evidently had an issue with it for that to be banned so randomly and obviously. Try asking them about it.

Got off at a decent time today
>4 of the past 5 days, some sort of truck issue
>2 stops to go, but they are both big. About 1pm and the next couple stops are going to take an hour or two each
>get in truck, turn key, nothin
>whack starter a couple times, nothin
>beat the hell out of starter, she starts up finally
>call boss and tell him I'm not about to come back on a tow truck again, if it won't start after my last stop it will be like 7pm
>call fleet, they don't have any working tractors to bring me
>fuck this, since I got it started this time, take the 45min drive back to the warehouse
>close out the last two stops, fuck them
>about to get checked in
>boss's boss who has no idea the BS we go thru, he calls and says some other drivers came back so they have a tractor for me
>expect me to go back out at 2pm
>would be 3pm by the time I start on those last two stops
>tell them no, clock out, go home
