yes you fucking retard

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Yes.

Yes

ye

Im not a car guy, yet i had a frs fall on my lap that i didnt even ask for.

Why am i going to regret it?

because it's an overrated car, shittier chassis rigidity due to no roof, less DD-able, older and thus less reliable, absolutely no power and torque under 6000 rpm
you can't even claim it's more direct or more driver oriented because it has e. steering
the only thing that it does better is that it has double wishbone suspension instead of mcphersons

the toyobaru has mcphersons? what a shit decision

okay makes sense now

but why is Veeky Forums so Veeky Forumsbsessed over s2000 and miata while shitting over toyobaru all day?

it has DW on the rear
front is mcpherson, kinda hard to put it with boxer engine

because that's Veeky Forums for you
miata is actually great at what it achieves to be
meanwhile s2k gets blasted in it's own class by cars like bmw z3m and porsche boxster s

S2k is a wet bland noodle until you hit vtec
Half of Veeky Forums actually likes miatas and toybarus
Lurk more

>absolutely no power and torque under 6000 rpm
Nothing a good ol tune can't fix tho

Veeky Forums loves the toyobaru, the ones shitting on it are trolls who probably have one or want one
also
>muh hp

This might help you decide

>S2k is a wet bland noodle until you hit vtec
Lets just ignore the toyobaru is the exact same shit making nothing until 5k

Memes

People complain about the "torque dip" in the 86 the S2000 has a 6000rpm torque dip. At the deepest part of the torque dip the 86 is making the same torque as the S2000 at the same RPM

Hey guys, I'm thinking of selling my no torque meme car to buy this other no torque meme car.

Non-meme answer

Daily driver? Keep the FRS
Weekend car? Trade for the S2000

S2K will hold value. But its not a DD type of car.

If it's your daily, forget it. I used to DD a Miata and would have bought a GT86 to replace if if I wasn't a poorfag who had to settle for a Mustang instead.

If it's your weekend car...maybe. The S2000 is a more interesting driving experience, if not exactly better. And financially speaking I get the feeling S2000s are on their way up already. 86s probably have a ways to go before hitting bottom.

Personally I'd trade an 86 for a nice C5 Corvette instead, but that's me.

S2000 can keep up with those if the track is twisty enough

No because the S2000 keeps getting more expensive as cars move even farther away from what it offers.

I'd have to drive an S2000 to tell you, but if you've had the FRS for a while and you're feeling adventurous then I'd say go for it, for no other reason to to appreciate the finer points of their relative personalities.

>yeah, dude, like, totally drive a nail through your dick, just to appreciate how amazing not having a nail in your dick is
Whoa.

Why not? The two are roughly comparable cars, the FRS is great but not God's gift to drivers, and if OP is adventurous then why not enjoy trying different things? Not everybody gets to be Jay Leno and have a garage full of toys, but that doesn't mean you have to drive each car into the ground before you realize you're old already.

I used to DD an AP1 S2K and it was fine for that because I don't need to carry lumber back and forth to work or whatever the fuck people want to do with their "practical" cuckmobiles. The problem with the S is that it's designed to fuck you if you screw up even a little, and sometimes even when you're perfect but the road is lumpy in the wrong way. So you're always on edge with it, and you'll likely never be as comfortable slinging it into a corner as you would an 86 or Miata. It's probably why the current Miata beats it on certain courses, despite the lower hp:weight ratio. On the other hand, it means that if you're fast in an S, you're legit.

The logical upgrade from your FRS is a Cayman/Boxster S, not the S2K.

>whatever the fuck people want to do with their "practical" cuckmobiles
fuk u I leave the straps connected to the baby seat tabs in back because it's a bitch to wiggle them on and off all the time when I need to haul shit on the roof.

Faggot.

lol make your woman drive the baby carrier you fucking cuckloard

Women don't know how to strap shit on the roof, nerd virgin.

Not really, no.
