It would let Eidolon attack but Aegis would be unaffected. The only way to kill Aegis would be to have a card that sets defense to 0. Another way would be a card with an effect like "both leaders leave the current board and play in a new one" but that's an effect we are never going to see in a mobile card game.

You can do it with Shadow Assassin but it's so awkward and wastes an evolve it's not worth it most of the time.
Sword can kind of get away without fanfare effects if you just play big beefy shit like Frontguards.

I dropped the SDs and DoV and have been playing it like a more defensive aggro and doing way better over the last few days. Keep the core of Belph, drain, airjammer, dark general and it's not hard to reach vengeance, especially if your opponent gets you down to 11 or 12 and you play one of many cards that do 2 damage to you.
