If you've ever played motorsport manager or f1competition back in the days, this should be right up your alley.
IGP is browser based and free, everyone starts from the same point and you improve your car and HQ and team over the course of the season. You have to run practice laps and configure the setup for your cars before each race, then set your race strategy depending on the weather and so on. If you want to spectate the race you can also do real-time strategy changes when needed, but you don't have to be there for the actual race.
Races will be daily at 11pm CEST, make sure to join before the first race tomorrow!

I'm 30% into installing it, so I'll let you know. Honestly, I've been playing a lot of FH3 recently just because it's not so picky and I can just screw around and drive a bunch of cars. But PCars was my goto for simulation. I just hope that it runs as well in 4k as PCars 1 and FH3.

What's the fastest away to learn a racing line on a circuit? Watching hotlap videos? New to simracing and have a tough time with Brands Hatch. 30 mins of practice and still pretty slow compared to other in qualifying

Long in short; look for apex markers. You can watch hotlap videos and learn the lines. Use visual cues as braking points, AKA, distance boards, something off-track like a track marshal or a tree (eg in iRacing optimal line through corkscrew at laguna seca is aiming for the tree in the middle and flooring it).
Remember, in addition of being able to do a few good laps here and there you need to be able to do consistently good laps.
You just need Autism(tm) and practice. You'll get it eventually.
