Never, at the end of the day Arcsys is a business, they got a deal to work on fucking Dragon Ball, they won't waste their time with something as small (relatively) as Persona. If it's succesful (and realistically they'd have to fuck up majorly for this to not be succesful) we could easily get later DBZ Fighter 2, 3, etc.

They sold the movie licenses to Fox Movie. They still have the licenses for comics and video games, but movies is how Marvel makes most of their money these days.

They didn't lose the rights. They don't have the movie rights. Fox does. The contract pretty much says as long as Fox makes X-men movies they have the exclusive rights to make movies. This was before Spider-Man came along and Super Hero movies blew up so basically they fucked themselves. Now they're salty, and basically don't want to advertise characters they can't make movies with.

At some point the past they sold movie rights of F4 and x-men to FOX and spiderman to Sony.

It's a 3 vs 3 game, roster can't be that small. Graphic-wise they're re-using the Xrd engine. The first Xrd was released in 2014 but full development started in 2012 which mean it took them two years to make their custom engine and twelve characters. The engine part is already done and ArcSys always recycle their mechanics (You know there's going to be Roman Cancels and there's already an icon for Burst in the screenshot) but they're still taking two years to make the game which gives them a lot more time to focus on characters.
