>not rigging an X4 piece to blow when he opens his door
Jason Cruz
Two more days
I can't take it boyos
Can't believe I have to go to work too
Ian Rodriguez
I've got this bad feeling I'll be called into work over the PC Gaming Show.
Jeremiah Kelly
Just keep in mind that nothing's actually going to come out for like 4 or 5 months.
Joshua Morris
I have lived off tidbits before.
Mason Mitchell
Obviously, release might be September at the earliest, but October or November is more likely.
Isaiah Martinez
>Jake is done showing the demo >And when can we expect it? >IT'S OUT RIGHT NOW!
Owen Robinson
We'll get a trailer or something. That's all I need.
Brody Davis
Up until 2 launched I watch the retaliation trailer nearly every day. I can wait.
Jaxon Williams
>page 10
Henry Kelly
>tfw this wasn't real enough for Jake What fresh horrors await us in the Real War?
Eli Morris
Oh god, why do they have that much movement? Overwatch wall is the only way to deal with that shit. Fuck the burrowed ones. At least if it's a patrol I can just send my Psy at it and Mind control some of them since their Will is absolute shit.
Joseph Morgan
>posting WW1
my nigga
Easton Bell
wrong thread?
Xavier Turner
Not unless you are planning to do porn. The mostly male audience usually prefer to hear the woman over the man. Otherwise it's fine as long as your partner doesn't complain.
Thomas Kelly
Now I really want to know what you're replying to
Juan Wright
not really
Jack Morris
>Should I feel self conscious about moaning and grunting during sex? No girl has ever objected but it sounds weird in my head.
Ian Cook
I.. see. Definitely the wrong thread, but the guy I originally replied to has the right of it.
In fact, especially if you're on the receiving end of something, women like to hear that it is being enjoyed.
James Gonzalez
>Overwatch wall is the only way to deal with that shit. Fuck the burrowed ones.
Literally just bring medkits and shotguns, and use Scanning Protocol/Battle Scanners to flush out the burrowers. Or send a SPARK in first since they're tough enough to take the hit and don't care about poison. Chryssalids are a meme enemy.
Hunter Green
I do, but the odd one always escapes and I never use Sparks, waste of resources for the most part, not worth fielding when I can take another Psy and use him to control the field. The threat of Chrysalids is small, which is why their movement is just stupid. It exists not to be a threat, but to appear to be a threat. They went from a horrible thing that could spiral out of control if left alone, to something that was better left alone in most cases as the Burrowed ones would eventually move and almost always move towards you.
Their very existence is in counter with the way that they wanted you to play this game, which is pretty fast and loose, rather then overwatch creep. If they were on missions that were being timed, then they would be a much bigger threat, as running isn't a viable option against them, which means digging in against your opponent and making the Chrysalid a priority target. As they are now, you can almost always take a hit, as it's very unlikely that more then one is in range unless you move into range of a few burrowed, but you have too many tools to counter that. What even is their purpose that other enemies don't already do better?
Ayden Sanders
So gents how do you compare Spectrum Green & LW2? Is there a real significant difference? And if so what are they? I'm getting a more combat heavy vibe from Spectrum Green.
Gavin Johnson
Haven't played it
still pushing forward in 1.3
Carson Clark
/xcg/ will be playing soon in the VGL against /aog/
Would like to know this too. May as well play a campaign before the expansion comes out.
Jack Martinez
Are you ready for RLW2 (Really Long War 2)?
Ian Lopez
Will they update for the expansion, I wonder?
They might, late game LW2 is a slog.
Connor Sullivan
Late game xcom always feels like a slog
Adam Gomez
Good luck, commander.
Nicholas Martinez
hit it up to +1
Austin Jenkins
I'm referring to how late game lacks the feeling of progression even XCOM2 vanilla has.
Anthony Jones
Post your main crew
Brody Diaz
WHAT THE FUCK
Matthew Long
Good job, commander.
Ryan Howard
Good job Delta
Dominic Martin
>reapplied thermal paste >installed a 660gtx >game is still full price after 1+years of its release which is 1/6 of a monthly pay here (due to currency conversion) when the other 3-4/6 goes to rent and shit
FUCK, wheres my eyepatch?
Owen Clark
Summer sale is right around the corner dude
Kayden Young
Is Long War 2 good? I remember LW1 being fucky, but worth the added content.
Isaiah Kelly
this. Felt this in EU as well. Why is it that the first few months of a campaign are the fun parts with laser/mags /gauss and then the endgame just shits itself?
I always got incredibly bored of both the Templeship and waterworld after my first playthrough of it, doesn't help that there's the Elder PSAs blaring throughout the whole missions.
Adam Thompson
Was not quite what i wanted but we got the win.
The next game is Friday same time against /lzg/
John Barnes
Sort of. It lacks that feeling of reward you'd get after a long LW session, since XCOM 2 isn't as feature-complete as EW.
Blake King
Long War 2 is worth it just for the extra depth it adds to the geoscape. If you feel it ramps the difficulty up too much, there's a number of other mods which tone it back down in various ways. It's worth playing around with these - the stock game punishes you brutally for trying to fight the aliens as opposed to sneaking/running past them on most missions.
Camden Rogers
Wasn't it part of humble monthly as the promotion game recently?
Angel Young
EU was too easy. When you unlock laser it feels like progress because you're finally catching up, carapace makes you safe. But after that you're stomping and even incredibly broken unlocks like ghost grenades are just another tool that's not worth getting excited about, because you don't actually need them.
Ian Stewart
>>game is still full price after
It's been on sale for pennies a dozen times a year senpai
Kevin Sullivan
Right when LW2 released, which back then made me think an expansion is imminent.
Joshua Anderson
What fucking weapons are those.
Anthony Perry
I think that's Coil
James Morales
Human.
James Wood
I need to get coil then because I like the looks unless its not coil.
Hudson Walker
That's coil senpai.
Brandon Martin
>unless its not coil. user, it literally says "COIL" in the barrel.
Carter Reed
>trusting everything you read What if it's a mimic?
Jason Hughes
>That one guy who is facing backwards
Tyler Garcia
Viper wives when?
Joshua Watson
Oh for fuck sake, Mimics are a myth made up by veteran dungeoners to scare novices and by blacksmith so they can profit repair weapons. There is no evolutionary advantage over growing a chest shell. You should stop hitting every chest or your weapon would break
Aiden Anderson
...
Justin Rivera
>You can't save them all commander
Jacob Phillips
>Overwatch in Phoenix Point costs willpower haha fuck you beagle
Oliver Long
Will Beags survive till the end of 2018?
Lucas Clark
>Jake adds timers >Gollop ties things to willpower Beagle was a mistake
Owen Robinson
Actually Gallop added the original timers
Angel Gomez
>implying a 20 turn limit before aliens get universal LOS on you is the same thing as a hard timer
why do you make /xcg/ into a HOUSE of LIES
Christian Morales
Well it's the truth. The need for some sort of limiting mechanism on players just camping was recognized then, but missing in XCOM EW.
Samuel Sanders
You couldn't camp in OldCom. I mean, technically you could, but reaction fire wasn't reliable enough. The 20 turn limit was just so anyone playing after 20 turns wouldn't have to hunt down the last alien.
Leo Green
>You couldn't camp in OldCom. I mean, technically you could, but reaction fire wasn't reliable enough. Without the 20 turn time limit, camping outside of the UFO instead of breaching it would be completely superior.
Jack Hughes
No, because they don't come out.
Noah Brown
The vast majority do. I know that I wait outside of UFOs and only breach them once I need to beat out the 20 turns.
The 20 turn limit would just make them come out faster. It shouldn't somehow trigger mutual surprise and affect reaction fire either. The time limit just makes sure the aliens get on with it if there's one guy hiding in a cupboard or something, I think the rule isn't in TFTD which leads to 300 turn cruise ship missions.
Jayden Morris
>The 20 turn limit would just make them come out faster. It shouldn't somehow trigger mutual surprise and affect reaction fire either. Alien will step out of the ufo with full TUs and a primed alien grenade post turn-20. That's why I stop any camping activities.
Anthony Ortiz
you'll never win
Tyler Gray
The AI isn't advanced enough to plan it like that, they can walk out and just grenade your guys way before getting maphacks if they feel like it.
Chase Harris
It isn't advanced AI. What happens is that AI only throws nades in x-com when they see at least two people grouped together. But once aliens get LOS on everybody, it triggers there "I see x-com soldier grouped together" behaviour, and so they prime the nade before walking out of the UFO to throw it, instead of having to walk outside and see the guys for real first.
Connor Sanders
Is there a way to pirate the DLC in Xcom2 if I have the steam version of XCom2?
Wyatt Peterson
Pathetic. All your planet is belong to us.
Jacob Reed
and yet so many fall with a single blow
Brayden Sullivan
>advent facilities on rendezvous must be a glitch
Xavier Campbell
Battlefront 2 ports when
Camden Howard
>adding Polis Massa tier chokepoints to XCOM 2
rip huge manatee
Blake Reed
Whatever, I'm never liked those guys.
Jordan Gray
>It's just a remake of the original Battlefront WAS THAT SO FUCKING HARD EA?
Ethan Morales
Battle droid ports with their funny as fuck voices would make for a great XCOM mod
