I changed mine like a month ago
Nah, that happens after it stops snowing.
i have a rental right now so i don't care
I haven't changed the oil or air filter in my car since I bought it. I've just treated it like a piece of shit and it's served me well in return.
>people actually clean their air filters
>instead of just buying a new one
Seriously? They're like ten bucks.
It's worth doing on a lawnmower where it get all caked up with dirt and pollen. So depending on your driving conditions it could be good to bang out the dead bees and leaves or whatever else every so often.
>oil filter 20$usd at vatozone
>shitty paper cartridge'
>find one with metal reinforcement for 9$ USd
bruhs why is every so much more expensive in stores? like wtf all the retards don't know how to google shit
Just tell your car to stop smoking?
That's their profit cow. Kind of like you get to pay for the full meal package at the fast food factory even though all it is is fries and soda that costs nothing. Or how the gas station makes its money not from the gas but from you buying some monster and a box of donuts, maybe a gallon of wiper fluid if they're lucky.

I just buy a new one if it is time. Car air filters are cheap enough. But if I drive on a long dusty road (unpaved macadam following other cars), then I will "clean" both the air filter and cabin air filter by taking them out and tapping them. I will also vacuum the bottom of the air box.
>Fast foods
Bruh. This.
>Go to wendys
>Baconator by itself is like $11.90
>Combo is $13.90
WOW WHAT A BARGAIN
>Twenty gallons of soda and 5lbs of starch
It's offensive to see how well that 'bargaining' logic works.

>Been lazy about changing airfilter in slightly chipped 04' Ram 3500 Dually.
>Haven't touched the filter in 20k miles.
>Checked on it during my last oil change, shit was almost folded in two, truck struggling to breath
in retrospect I should've noticed the slight power loss
>I have no concept how operating costs works
Wow, it's almost like the meats and cheese are the most expensive items there, and the costs associated with ordering, storing, and preparing those is there too.
I was having a local shop change the air filter on my Volvo when doing routine maintenance / periodically during oil changes. Only vehicle I've ever owned that I didn't do all work myself... Was on so many damn business trips that I didn't have much time to myself, and I lived in an HOA that disallowed auto work (GTFO from there last year)
After putting 70k on her, I noticed that the power output was getting abysmal. Found the following:
>Dumb fuckers didn't remove upper intake tube to get to cartridge oil filter- just bent it
>Hard plastic eventually cracked, so it leaked like a bastard under boost
>Checked air filter
>Holy mother of God
>OEM, 100% ORIGINAL air filter
>Completely black, 1/4" of mold covering the entire thing
>About a pound of acorns in the filter box
>Air filter is not hard to get to but it does require removing some hard plastic inlet tubing (5 minutes max)
>Stupid bastards never changed it
>Swap in a brand new one after cleaning everything thoroughly
>Car starts up, erratic idle, shut it off
>Disconnect battery, let it sit overnight
>Next day, ran like a top
I drove back to the assholes that had been doing the maintenance. Turns out their shop was closed and rebranded.
>abused housewife
He hits me because he loves me.
i changed mine when I did my oil and oil filter two days ago
I don't know how. It's hidden in the fender wall and I have no clue how to get it out
Just bought one today, cost me the equivalent of 5$
I'm waiting for the snow to drop
There's been so many forest fires here the city was under air quality warnings with thick smoke. Leaving the car windows down and driving around was covering my seats in ash. I bet my air filters are all fucked.
New one every 12500 km (replace it when doing oil change, which for me it's an year), however I clean it with some compressed air once every month, to keep it as unobstructed as possible for it's entire service life.
>what is scalability
My truck has one of the K&N direct fit filters. It says its good for 50k miles between cleans but I clean it every 3k miles with the oil change anyway.
I don't even know where this shit is on my car
I just put in a high intake K&N filter the other week. I'm good.
