Time Attack

You have 10k to turn your shitbox into the fastest Time Attack monster possible! What do you do to your car?

not really a lot i can do with a car like pic related.

Seam welding and body reinforcement.
Tires and Brakes.
A decent coilover setup.
Turbo and a few internals if got any money left over.

>Big brakes.
>Gut the entire thing
>Better Turbo
>Injectors
>used lightweight wheels
>Weld the god damn roof in so the car doesn't flop like a flaccid dick.
>R compound tires.
>Coilovers
>Aero
I bet I could do these few simple mods for under 10k and it would still be slow and blow up after one run.

>GT2554R turbo (2k)
>Camshaft/valve kit (1k)
>E40 tune for 350 WHP (0.5k)
>Mountune triple pass radiator (0.5k)
>Wilwood BBK front + back (1.5k)
>Proxes R888R in 235 width (0.5k)
>RPF1 in 17x8 (1k)
>KW V3 coilovers (2k)
>Chassis bracing (1k)
>Weight reduction (free!)
400HP on stock internals has been done but the potential for cracked rods is there

>EJ207
>STI Transmission
>Suspension
>Remove interior
>Put bucket seats
>Rollcage
>Wheels and tires

Sell it and spend the money plus the $10k on a gutted FD with an LS swap.

Literally won't even cover the 3 rotor conversion

forgot
>brakes

Alternatively.
I will get a STI, which sell for $10k either way and just swap whatever I need and then sell it part by part. And use the rest of the money for rollcage and tires.

YB swap.

>buy vr-4 galant
>put bigger turbos on it
>praise it stays together for a single lab

5 cylinder 20 valve turbo swap
e85 with water methanol injection
500 hp
4wd conversion
Brabham BT46 style aero

Buy a formula mazda

>that suspension
o shit wheres the upper control anything

it started out as this
but yes it could do with some more hard points

>W204
Well, at least I've got the manual transmission to start. A M156 is going to be out of the 10k budget so, let's start with:

>good coilover package (3k)
>M272E35 swap (??? K)
>tires and wheels (1.5 k)
>brake upgrade (1.5k)
>rip out the interior and sound deadening
>add a wing (2 k)
>construct a flat underbody, side skirts, splitter, brake ducts, radiator ducting, underhood aero improvements

So assuming you somehow got a 3.5L out of any *350 mercedes between 2008-2012, preferably a SLK350, for $2000, it should be doab-

>roll cage, fire extinguisher, race seat, fuel cell, harness, helmets, suits, tools, more tires, and more besides

Fug me lads.

>still slower than anything it would compete in class with

Spoon K20Z3/5MT+LSD swap
Koni yellows with Tien springs
Yonoka catback exhaust
Strip door panels/ all rear stuff
BRIDE racing seats/TANAKA harness
Spoon 4-2-1 header (I think they make one)
THICC RS Watanabe F8Fs w/ Michelin pilots all around
Plastic windows
CF hood, why not.
CTR EK9 steering rack
Grant 702 steering wheel
EL1.7 rear disk brakes
Spoon callipers/pads/disks

Almost forgot
2001 Civic LX

I would purchase and install a bitchin' spoon engine and leave the rest of it completely stock because I'd already be out of money at that point.

New coilovers, new blacktop 4a-ge engine, and probably get my 1988 toyota MR2 professionally aligned.

If I have any left over, then I'd get a 40+psi turbo and blow off valve.

mr2 spyder so the best bang for the buck would be a k20 or 2zz turbo build

Then bigger wheels and tires so I can fit larger brakes
