Not really, their infantry has nothing special about them (even Sarranid's have javelins so you can use them as skirmishers)
Same with their cavalry, you might as well use Swadian Knights.
Their only selling point is their Marksmans with their rate of fire, but you can mass Rhodok/Swadian Sharpshooters and get better results

Vaegirs are the glass cannon faction. Their marksmen can lay down some really powerful fire, but close in on them and they're ridiculously weak. The infantry and cavalry have powerful 2 handers for high damage output but no shields.
