Because the Buick of today is absolutely nothing like the Buick of old.
Isaiah Parker
Name a post gnx Buick performance car
Asher Gomez
Is it possible to get these to corner at least half decently with some mawds?
Jace Watson
because it was automatic and a not so strong one either.
the same reason people dont love the supercar, the esprit. it has the weak renault transmission.
Landon Young
encore
Josiah Miller
Maybe they have nothing to prove now? They already proved to the world that Buick has more potential than any other european or american automaker.
I aspire to the humility of Buick. They rocked the world, and they still let GM grandstand their retarded golden haired child known as the Vette.
I'm sure if you lowered it with a coilover kit and gave it a beefy sway bar + tubular control arms it would be great at cornering like any other muscle car with these modifications
Adam Sanders
Because they haven't produced an interesting car since 1987. People call Buicks grandma cars because they are. They're large and comfy
Hunter Baker
remember, this car ran stock 12.9 @107
IN THE 80's
remember this is the 4 banger one, not the v8
Andrew Lopez
just because they made an amazing car in the 80's doesn't mean that they're still good today.
Dominic Garcia
>Buick >rocked the world That's a funny way of spelling Oldsmobile.
>they still let GM grandstand their retarded golden haired child known as the Vette. >implying they had a choice in the matter Cars that dared to beat the 'vette are the ones that disappeared from GM dealerships the next year.
Ayden Bennett
GM being better than the rest... Nothing new here.
Connor Hall
They had a choice to go the Pontiac route and constantly one-up the vette until the day you got chopped by GM. It would have been way more interesting if GM had to choose between two superior engine divisions or both lol.
Christian Campbell
>I'm sure if you lowered it with a coilover kit and gave it a beefy sway bar + tubular control arms it would be great at cornering like any other muscle car with these modifications Good cause these cars look gorgeous and id like to get something like this and modify it to handle the back roads.
Ayden Hall
regal turbo skylark t-type
Hunter Perry
Muscle cars can definitely corner so if you find one don't be afraid. Yeah, you won't ever be like those ultra high tech cars with computer controlled suspension and other fancy shit, but you'll still have excellent cornering capabilities.
Easton Collins
Leave the Bucik GNX to me!
Owen Howard
>GNX 1/4th mile was .3 seconds faster than a Ferrari F40 f40 ran the 1/4 in 11.7. gnx was mid to low 13s.
Dominic Scott
no, f40 ran it in 13 flat, gnx ran it in 12.7
Carson Russell
i dont believe that for a second, and if you do then youre a fool.
Grayson Brown
I choose to believe it because I want the underdog to be the winner.
Josiah Cruz
well too bad, the F40 ran a mid to high 11. either come back to reality or suck a dick.
Charles Taylor
'nuff said!
Brody Wilson
because all it did was accelerate to 120 MPH faster than almost every other car the US failed to abort
Aiden Hall
thats the fucking point though. the automatic is geared to keep the car on boost.
Then slam the gas pedal down as you lift off the brake. The back of the Buick will slew a bit as the fat tires scratch for traction, but keep your foot down because the Goodyears will quickly grab and send you rushing down the road. Less than 6.0 seconds after you mashed the throttle, you will be going 60 mph. If you're on a drag strip and keep your foot down, come 14.0 sec you'll have covered the quarter mile and be traveling around 105 mph. If you still haven't had enough, keep your right foot working, and when you feel the engine rev limiter cut in, you'll be doing 124 mph
Hmmm
Ryan Nguyen
Thank you for correcting this absolute shit show of an ignorant fanboy thread. I fear they will have a new meme car in a week however and know just as little about that
Aiden Rogers
smells like SAMEFAG
Sebastian Butler
Smells like you watched a recent meme GNX docu and have no knowledge of the car (y)
Juan Richardson
it was nowhere near the fastest
no one gives a shit about drag racing
it still looks like an ugly geriatric cruiser (and it sounds absolutely awful)
pretty much every Buick since the 70s has been the same
> 12.9 @107
lol they have like 160hp and weigh 2300 lbs like fuck they run a 12.9 @ 107
Thomas Lopez
sounds like your boipussy needs to get slammed in
keep it up white boi, see what happens
Matthew Hernandez
I despise this shit. It isn't a coincidence that Donut did a fucking video on this, now here you shitheads are PERFECTLY MIRRORING WHAT WAS SAID ON THE VIDEO. WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU KNOW ABOUT BUICK YESTERDAY? Do your own research, be reasonable. The GNX was a stand out car, but it is the only one of its kind. Buick was a shitty car before this, and hasn't produced anything but pallet swapped GM garbage since. If you really want someone to thank, look up Gale Banks.
GM fucked up and sold the tooling for the V6 to a manufacturer in south america. SURPRISE GAS CRUNCH. They had to emergency buy it back, and they made an indy pace car that year that was a V6. It was too slow, they were asked to come back with something different. Enter Gale Banks, who was all about low displacement turbocharged engines. His team put a turbo on it and gave it back. The rest is history.
When you consume media and just vomit out someone else's opinions, it makes you look real dumb. The rest of us have internet access too.
Jaxson Reed
>It isn't a coincidence that Donut did a fucking video on this I'm lost, who's that?
Christian Price
STAND UP STRAIGHT HUNCHMAN
Dylan Parker
Hopefully this is the straw that breaks the camel's back and leads to OP's suicide
Caleb Reed
A true enthusiasts dream machine
Xavier Jones
It looks like a Matrix that ate too many of granny's cookies.
Matthew Gonzalez
Looks like someone watched Donut Media's "Up to Speed" video on the Grand National today.
Angel Watson
>second fastest car in the world Around actual tracks, or just in muh 1/4 mile? >where did this m-muh grandma car come from? Because most of them are, and the GNX/Grand National was the only worthwhile sports car they made.
Adam Peterson
>Why do people talk shit about Buick > when in 1987
You've answered your own question. 1987 was a long time ago. Ignoring that the GNX was had a limited run of only a few hundred ever made, what has Buick done to stay relevant in the last 30 years?
Joshua Peterson
>repeating his dumb lie of second fastest in the world So you don't know anything about the topic, and you still commented?
Lucas Thomas
>GoyimMoters Not even once.
Brandon White
Did you also watch the Donut Media video about the GNX that came out today? Fucking retard pretending you care about the Grand National because your saw a video about it on your facebook feed.
Logan Martinez
>and the GNX/Grand National was the only worthwhile sports car they made.
GNX isnt anywhere near a sports car and its slower than a nearly 20 year older Buick
Jace Reyes
I really dig the stripe going from the body to the spoiler, it's the little things.
Owen Campbell
Im not even surprised someone did this
it really works on it
Alexander Morgan
>skylark t-type I'm pretty sure these are all but extinct.
Isaiah Roberts
A-bodies in general had some pretty damn neat paintjobs available, but everyone seems to only care about the Chevelle and its boring twin racing stripes.
Wyatt Lewis
>Thread about the GNX >Posts a Normal GN
I mean at least you didn't post a stark white T-type.
>Regal Turbo
The T-type Regal happened before the GN-X. Also the Skylark T-type was a joke, it had the base V-6 and was an appearance package unlike the Riviera, Regal, and Skyhawk T-type cars which were the Buick Turbo cars, granted they mostly get overlooked for the Regals/GN/GNX.
Lincoln Russell
I want a Buick Electra Wagon (or Pontiac Parisienne) and turn it into an electric vehicle.
Maximum comfy ride.
Nathan Morgan
it seems like they're selling just rebadged Vauxhall shitboxes now
Hunter Campbell
>where did this m-muh grandma car come from? The Regal was a grandma car. That was the point of the Grand National - to look like a grandma car, but not be.
Combination daily driver and track monster.
Thomas Price
So, was the GNX, dare I say it, the first sleeper?
Isaac Walker
lol no
Cooper Carter
not sure why but seeing that picture instantly brought back nostalgic moments of the first Driver video game for the PlayStation. Which is weird because the car you drove in that game was black.
Tyler Peterson
not the first but a good one, enough to be notable and have a following
Camden Nelson
Was thinking of getting a 87 national in couple of years but I really feel like it would be a bad investment sadly, plus the whole "I kno whut i got" truly hit this car like a brick because they are not cheap
>Pic Related GM's last real muscle car
Asher Wright
True my 69 year old mom has one and it is a speed machine.
