Top lane Annie works pretty well if you build properly and respect the fact that most top laners will shit stomp you if you give them the kills to do so early on.

When I duo with my plat 1 friend with high mmr (giving us d4-d3 games) I do well, but when I play alone and in my shitfest of p3-p2 games, I simply can't carry as hard.

Shitting you not, when I play in the higher elo, my teams always know what to do when I'm splitting or looking to group, whereas in my own elo it's more of a tossup.

I think you just answered your own question. Plat decision making is generally shit, and they probably aren't as flexible with split push comps. I guess I'd suggest roaming more when you're ahead and grouping. But I wouldn't know. I'm also a hard stuck plat 1 degenerate. If you have any tips for me I'm all ears.
