im new to this game, started playing like 3 weeks ago. grinded a bunch of heroes to level 5 and did my placement matches, got put in silver 2. feels like shitter territory, so how do i get good at this game?

any resources i should check out to learn how to play better? so far im using icy veins for hero guides and information, but most of their stuff feels kind of shallow and i have no idea how trustworthy they are.

also is azmodan a viable hero? he's my favorite so far, mostly because i like the ultra long range siege nuke and the demon rain ultimate that kills undefended forts in seconds.

nigger i have gone through the "getting into a new game" process often enough to know how much faster and better it goes when you have good information available to point you in the right direction. that's why i'm asking for guides and stuff.

Vikings role is to soak up every single lane while the rest of their team focuses on getting kills/objectives. They're pretty shit at team fighting before they get their late game talents.

Its counter productive in MOBAS since most likely site writers are horrible number crunchers first and foremost.

these 2 make videos about heroes and go through all the talents, telling you whats good/bad and why. granted, they're NA, but i'm guessing this is what you're looking for. reading up sites that offer minimal or no explanation on why you pick this or that or telling you to always pick X are garbage.

Theorycraft can only carry you so far my son, you need to put your hand in the work and simply play the game. Test builds in QM and grind it out, also practice makes perfection

Also QM MMR is directly related to HL MMR, you should have grinded more QM first, if anything create a smurf while you still know that early on, or just be ready to carry absolute retards AND once in a while get some uncarryable cunts as part of the painful HL grind

you think so? i've introduced friends to dota2 and seen them get to a level of play in a few months that took myself literal years to reach back in wc3 dota. and all it took was have them read purge's huge "welcome to dota you suckers" noob guide and apply it in games.
