Missed opportunity

Pyro is the patrician starting class for either sorcerer or clerics.
The high luck from the other classes are basically put into the opposite magic school when you choose pyro, which is great for making a versatile character.

Pyro is a great choice for Sorcerer starts if you want to use Cleric's Candlestick HA or Immolation Tinder. Same with Faith builds that want to use Crucifix and Murky Hand Scythe.

it comes mostly from PC gamers who are used to PC games where playing and exploiting the pvp is considered the main way to enjoy the game.

Nothing wrong with that in a pvp focused game like counter strike, halo, or starcraft, but dark souls is a single player game with some neat side modes for multiplayer.

There's nothing less funny than a dead horse being beaten.

The "you need 60 faith to cast" applies to SL120.

At low levels people tend to have less vig and base defense, so you can still do decent damage.

pvp was pretty huge before dark souls was even on PC and there were tons of dark magic/twop ganking memesters

If you mean the second R1 speed nerf yes, all 'heavy' curved swords were affected by it.

Did they nerf dark sword at all? I'm talking mostly in terms of PvE. I remember when the game launched I steamrolled through all of it with a heavy dark sword

Anyone wants to give me a hand with the demented lizard of invisible offspring? Also, staking him is pretty inconsistent, it does from 340 to 780 damage. I imagine it has to do with how the hitboxed are handled. Anyone knows the details or at least where it's best to stand to get the most damage?

Dark Sword got a minor AR nerf a while back but otherwise it's about the same and still great on a Quality or Strength build. It's Stomp along with all the UGS/Greatsword vertical stomps also got buffed in speed a few patches back too which is very useful in PvE.
