No you don't. It gets you most of the common items, but that trick doesn't work on 4-star and 5-star treasure battles after a certain point. The only thing that trick is good for is hitting 2000 battles, which takes about 20 hours.

Why does this combo sometimes do 20 less points of damage, even though I'm doing the same inputs and landing the same hits? It also says it only hits 8 times in the second one but you can clearly see it hit 9 times like it should.

I'm trying to find solid setups with his kit but they just don't seem to mesh all that well together except for a few cases (the entire u/f+3+4 tree feels retarded and archaic), basically half his shit is unsafe made safe through the fear of a followup that you either input or don't and you have to input things early so it's basically mindgames that result in mediocre damage for full punishes if they guess right. And a lot of the time there is no need to guess because they can deal with multiple options without big commitments.

As for solid play, his whiff punishing is pretty good with b+2 I guess, and he has a nice and safe launcher in d/f+3, he also has flash which I'd say is the most game-changing thing about him. Overall, I wish his stances actually had more moves/options, better movement and transitioned much faster. As it is, it feels pointlessly risky to use almost anything but dragonfly and kincho. NSS might be interesting but a poor man's hellsweep isn't going to make him good, just more high risk, low reward shit.

How the fuck do I land Kings CC starter? It feels like I can't bait it out correctly and if I don't land any grabs I get my ass smashed by faster characters.

What do I practice for him? I can pull off his 94 or 96 damage grapple combo every time now in practice but in real fights I can't get it started at all.

Dragunov is frustrating but if you're complaining about him while still being uncertain of how to approach somebody (without mentioning whom your playing), then you really need to work on fundamentals. There's forward dashing too.
