'71 Le Mans, really got me into cars

I know they're bad movies but I guess it shows my age if I tell my favorite driving related movie is the FF: Tokyo Drift.

...

All time favorites -
Cars(first movie), Fast and the furious(all), Transformers 1, Taxi 3, Gone in 60 Seconds and Italian Job.

Faggots

I really enjoyed Baby Driver. Other than that, the F&F movies are the only ones I've seen and I liked them well enough I guess.

>Gone in 60 Seconds and Italian Job.
please tell me you are talking about the original versions

The place beyond the pines

>I really enjoyed Baby Driver

>anthony boredain
who cares

Ronin has a very A E S T H E T I C car chase.

Also,

>Bullitt
>The Transporter
>Drive

youtube.com/watch?v=MxxH0lZSYgU

let's all post our favorite twingo shots from that scene

i was expecting a movie about driving when i went to see this, not 5 minutes of shitty driving with poor overdubbed engine sounds followed by gosling being a moody boring cunt for the rest of it

false advertising desu

Agree but overall a good film

>gosling
red flag right away

i knew little about him before drive, and have disliked him since. i'm very hesitant to watch the new bladerunner as a result

Two lane black top.
Duel.
Climb dance. Peugeot at pikes peak

Bullit's chase is great but the film itself is a tribute to boredom.

Samefagging over here, also had decent soundtrack

Rush, Tokyo Drift, Wangan Midnight life action, Intial D animu, Le Mans

Kung Fury.

>got to saw the Porsche used in le mans the other day

I don't get a boner for them, but it's a nice car.

>no mention of the junkman

...

is baby driver any good? they chase me video with el-p gets me hype.

youtube.com/watch?v=vHShmiCxL8s

The movie's story and tone is a fucking mess. And it's actually more about music and crime than driving.
However, if you don't think too hard you'll probably enjoy it once. Almost zero rewatch value for me, with the exception of a few scenes that I can watch on YT anyway. (Those 30 seconds near the climax of the movie where Barry White plays comes to mind)

the cinematography and stunts are so raw
they just don't make movies like they used to

underrated

Post a movie you like

Unironically.

I'm fucking serious.

Rush with chris hemsworth

Drive is not a car or driving movie.

It's only memed on the 4ch because it depicts an aspie as the hero of the movie.

i've been wanting to see this for a while. Just been waiting for the dub.

>Ronin
>Bullitt
>Drive

Not really car movies. They're just drama/thrillers with a lengthy car chase scene in it.

I actually enjoyed both of the remakes. Never really understood the hate that they got. It's like they immediately just got dismissed as petty Hollywood remakes to cash in on old films and are therefore condemned to be terrible and unenjoyable for that reason alone.

its been dubbed along time ago senpai

I want to see it. I hear it's pretty good and one of the few decent films in an otherwise ho-hum summer movie season.

link plz.

Personal favorites:

Redline (the anime, not the live action one)
Christine
Vanishing Point
Le Mans
Grand Prix
Cars (1 and 2, haven't seen 3, but I'm sure I'll like it, too)
The Transporter (the first one)
Gone in 60 Seconds (both versions)
Duel
Mad Max: Fury Road

Not favorites, but still found to be fun:
Italian Job
Need for Speed
The Fast and the Furious 1 and 7
Riding Bean

The place beyond the pines, is another gosling. But he robs banks on a motorbike.

Just not enough driving in it, and more drama.

i cant find it anywhere but its there
they even ran it on TV here

Gumball Rally, obviously.

Goodbye pork pie.

I really liked Death Proof ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also the old stuff from the 70s, like Convoy, Vanishing Point, etc.

Stage 3

>not a single person has mentioned Smokey and the Bandit

I liked it. they played up the 'live action cartoon' aspect too much tho

why is there a nazi crest on that ford mustang?

FF:TD is a great movie. Would have aged better without the vinyls all over the cars though.

My nigga!

...

Vanishing point

Mad Max: Fury Road

They're pretty terrible and unenjoyable because they aren't good. The new Italian Job is an absolute snooze up until the chase, none of the tension that was built in the original was established very well in the new one. Gone in 60 Seconds just shouldn't even have the same name, it's so different.

Fuck anyone who says Tokyo Drift is a bad movie.

>a twingo for each minute
masterpiece

yeah,Tokyo Drift is not a good movie at all,but I still like it a lot

Taxi (the original)
Ronin
the original Gone in 60 seconds, but the Eleanor chase in the remake was actually breddy gud too
Baby Driver (i know it's more of a music-based love story but the driving scenes are still badass)
Vanishing Point is really comfy for me, idk why
and of course, pic related

Ronin is great

saw, soundtrack was very good. i am pretty young (compared to the fags here @ mods) and i enjoyed the vintage music that they picked. nostalgic wouldn't be the right word because i was too young to listen to the songs when they came out but i i felt something like that. and with that music and the action, great combo.

i disliked how the only manual car he drove was in the opening scene for under 5 minutes in the duration of the whole movie. every car he steals, finds, or is given is automatic. I know it's something people don't really give a shit about but if you "have been boosting cars since able to see over steering wheel" you'd a assume a multi-million dollar franchise would appeal to the manual community, or even the auto-fags who can't drive it who thing it looks cool. Story was pretty good, backstory came too late, like they described his situation and why he did what he did pretty late in the movie and i disliked that. if left me very confused for a little bit (or im just a fucking idiot) in terms of production, film was fucking amazing, coudln't have been done better. I watched some videos on YT about how they filmed the car scenes and it was very elaborate and took tons of effort. 10/10 film. overall 8/10 minus points for confusion

>Christine
Reminds of how my shitbox astra tried to kill me on every corner.

Pic related is prob. my favourite film ever.
It's terrible, and that's why it's amazing.

Baby Driver or Grand Prix

Ronin has several lengthy car chases in it, filled to the brim with high quality euro shitboxes and an Audi S8 requested by the American get away driver of all fucking people.

Stage 3

Speed, because half of Veeky Forums are busriders anyway

>Italian Job
>[tfwnospoilers]Knight Rider [/tfwnospoilers]
>Initial D
And Also Fast and Furious 1-3 as they weren't completely run off the mill action movies as the later ones were.

Those movies are great.

But what do you know about Hal Needhams masterpiece Cannonball Run?

With the greatest opening in car movie history.

youtu.be/evA3_NV7cPM

Literally who?

TWO LANE
W
O

L
A
N
E

Hawkeyes are going to skyrocket in price....

As fucking gay as it's going to sound, Initial D rekindled my interest for cars like 5 years ago

This

Vanishing point for its portrayal of speed and its aesthetic. Really gave me a hard on for muscle cars

I really liked Initial D, but for me it actually took unironically listening to Eurobeat in my car and wanting to drive faster in my shitbox.

Redline is the shit, but that ending was weak.

My favorite m/o/vie right now is The Wraith. It's just dumb fun.

Christine

came for Ronin.

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry
Vanishing Point
Two Lane Blacktop
No Man's Land
Smokey and the Bandit
Gumball Rally
Lemans
Days of Thunder

The Last American Hero

If I had a dollar for every twingo in that chase, I could almost buy a twingo.

Fast and Furious movies( just for the cars not the shit acting and story)
The Transporter
Faster ( dat Chevelle and dat GTO)
Need for Speed

Figuratively who?

Twister. Such Murrica.

youtube.com/watch?v=h5iKf65xWhk

no love for American Graffiti? it's a street racing classic

the scene where Milner walks through the junkyard pointing out the wrecks and talking about racing accidents is one of my all-time favourite Veeky Forums scenes

I second this. fun cartoony driving movie

>no love for American Graffiti?

There is. I just forgot to mention it.

It's more of a teenage coming-of-age movie set around cruising with friends. Street racing was only a small part of it.

Taxi, not the shit burger version.
