Lugging an engine

While trying to downshift to 2nd, I accidentally put it on 4th and lugged the engine for a good 5 seconds trying to accelerate before puting it back to 3rd.

How badly did I fuck up the engine?

Pic not related.

What car?

Toyota Matrix XRS 2ZZ engine

It's trash anyways. Just sell to a desperate shitbag and rid yourself of it before it fucks off.

>4th and lugged the engine for a good 5 seconds
>5 seconds
you fugged up big time, might as well shift to first and float the valves

Can I get actual answers from experienced people and not bus riding faggots?

I'd answer seriously but then I'd be accused of taking the bait.

How on earth am I baiting? lugging an engine is pretty bad, my OCD is compelling me to ask how badly I fucked the engine for 5 secs.

>Toyota
lol just scrap it

it's not that bad you're retarded

Basically this.

Thanks for quelling my autismo.

The rest of you bus riding retards, I swear.

Lol this thread

Yeah nah it's toast, better get a new one.

As far as I can tell looking at pictures of a 2009 Matrix throttle body it has electronic throttle control anyways. So it might have just blocked the throttle input anyway. (It's a technology that has improved fuel economy by ignoring stupid things drivers do with their feet).

>going on an anonymous imageboard to make people tell you what you want to hear
No matter what we say, there's still a fair chance your engine's days are numbered.

It will have done fuck all. Lugged the shit out of my car climbing hills and teaching someone to drive in it, runs fine.

Your cars engine isn't a bitch
You shouldn't be one either

its 5 seconds, it'll be fine. just don't be a fucking retard next time.

It's dangerous to the trans also. You can pop out 5th gear just like in 40% of Dodge ram trannies.

Technically impossible to lug an electronic engine.
