I'm thinking about buying this but,

yeah "stock" i guess just means it doesn't have a need for speed body kit on it or cut springs

the 5 speed doesn't sound terrible with that swap, it might be a bit more suitable for a daily

In some states the seller is responsible for smog/safety inspections. If MD has something like that, it may be a sign that the owner knows the car won't pass.

Does this look legit? I kind of want to live and work out of a van to save some money. I've only got 15k to my name at the moment, but I'm owed like 5k so I think that would cover the cost of any maintenance or repairs.

That'd be one with the better motor, the only downside is that it's not the all wheel drive version but for the price you can't really go wrong. Expect a project though because I can guarantee it will be one.

Passenger front has been in an obvious crash that deployed the airbags. Overall, the car looks to be in better shape than most 240sx though, so maybe still worth it to you if you are OK with the damage.
