Except Tom Chilton quit a few months ago to lead a new project.

Holinka is the only person in Blizzard who has developer experience making PVP games from the ground up.

My guess is they are making a new MMO but it will be in the diablo world and be first person to compete with Skyrim 2. Its the only genre Blizzard hasn't mastered.

Overwatch is their cashcow now. MMOs are a dying genre. They're not gonna waste time making a new MMO.

Their non-mmo projects are infinitely more popular and PvP isn't mmo specific. They're a dying genre for the most part, and a very risky investment.

Not really a dead genre, there is millions of ex wow subs who quit WoW because its dated. I bet Blizzard did the calculations and realized they could make money trying to bring back these people. Remember WoW subs are at around 1.8 -2 Million. But WoW at its peak was at 12 million subs.
