GT86 vs Stinger GT

I have a choice, Veeky Forums.

I already have a Mazdaspeed 6 want to either trade it in for a new RWD twin turbo V6 Stinger GT or keep the Speed 6 and get myself a used boosted Rocket Bunny FRS.

I really like both cars. But, I'm on the fence about which I should do.

Now, the 86 will obviously be less reliable and probably no warranty. While the Stinger GT will have a 7 year warranty and be significantly more reliable. And just tuning it would make it faster than a boosted 86. I can daily the GT, not the 86. The GT comes with better creature comforts, the 86 comes with aesthetics of the widebody and customability.

What should do, Veeky Forums?

OP here. I should also point out that I also have a modded 2003 Cobra. So, I don't actually need another boosted coupe. I just kind of want a Rocket Bunny 86... or a Stinger GT. Decisions, decisions.

What do you even inted to do with the FRS?

Only if you're planning to track it since you won't daily drive it and there are better week-end/project cars out there

>used boosted Rocket Bunny FRS.

I'd get a 86 with rocket bunny cause its the two things combined that make Veeky Forums busriders and benchracers insanely salty.
i'd find a rauh welt sticker as well

Keep the Mazdaspeed 6, those make me diamonds

if this is the case just get a stinger and be comfy.
I'd probably recommend a chevy ss over the stinger though coz muh v8

You are an idiot if you want a USED ROCKET BUNNY BOOSTED FRS.

Think about that for a second.

The boiracers that own them thrash them.
They have bought a rocket bunny kit because that gets them insta followers and put a turbo on a car that shouldn't have a turbo.
They probably rev the shit out of it while its cold.

If you want a boosted, rocket bunny frs, do it yourself. do it on e85 and with a supercharger. don't buy a used one. you will hate yourself

Just for a fun car on nice days.

It is a nice car. But, it's getting dated. They have absolutely no creature comforts. Not even an aux port.

The Chevy SS doesn't get my goat.

Boosted doesn't mean strictly turbo. Also, I can handle a car that hasn't been done right. I don't mind ripping that bitch apart and doing it properly if need be. I'll just pay less for it upfront.

This.

All that and it will still be more reliable than a Kia

And funny how I don't see "Kia Stinger" anywhere on that list. Go be autistic elsewhere.

I'd focus on getting a nice daily. The Cobra is your fun car.

Sperg more shill.

Kind of this. You're asking if you should get a daily or a project car, and the only person who can answer that is yourself.

>I don't mind ripping that bitch apart and doing it properly if need be.

The stuff I'm talking isn't easy fixes. people cheap out so they can have a boosted rocket bunny frs. Cheap tune especially. Its really not worth the risk on a car that is at the knifes edge of performance and emissions N/A.

Your choice obviously but for me I would only do it myself because expensive damage can be done by boost if someone doesn't know what they are doing.

Implying they are going to magically build one car well.

I can never have a boring car. Just won't happen. And that's kind of the point of me wanting the Stinger GT.

It's like you don't even know what these words mean.

Well, like I said. I could keep the Speed 6 and get the 86. Or I could trade the Speed 6 in for the Stinger GT. That's my standpoint.

That's why I'll expect paperwork. Best option for a boosted 86 is to find a N/A Rocket Bunny and boost it myself. But, if it's already boosted, I have all the paperwork, and can talk to the shop that did the work. Then I might be convinced to buy a Rocket Bunny that's already boosted.

> implying that a car designed by an Audi designer and BMW M division engineer will be built like shit just because it has a Kia emblem on it
Don't expect the worst of everything. You'll miss out on a lot of great things.

He can boost and rocket bunny it himself. He wants a used FRS and that is what hell do to it. Fucking burger reading comprehension.

retard

OP here. He's right though. Not really retarded if he understands how buying a car logically goes.

Interestingly the actual OP is talking about buying an 86 that is already boosted and has a rocket bunny kit here

>Implying the designers get any say in how it's built.
You have never worked in anything other than the marketing department of KIA.

Shill more sperg.

I also said that i would take one alrighty done if it has the proper paperwork. Otherwise I'll do it myself.

> thinking designers don't design the cars
> thinking engineers don't engineer the car
> thinking anything was skimped out on when they were constantly upping the performance and audio by the request of said individuals just because said individuals wanted it so
> not doing your research

Actually, I'm a CDL driver.

Spend a little bit more and get an M2

>Rocket bunny

Disgusting.

It looks like something a young highschool dropout constructed in his garage

The words of real autism right here.

>cross shopping two completely different vehicles

kia shill pls go

I don't know m8. I think you need to sort out your priorities a bit. I DD an 86 and it's just grins all around to bang around in and not get too upset about abusing a relatively inexpensive car. It it were boosted, it would be absolute tits.

But if I were going to bother having more than one car I don't know where the 86 would fit in my garage. Why not bang around in an even funner car if my garage also has a utility vehicle or a luxobarge or whatever else I think I need?

Are you retarded?

My thoughts exactly.

>Guys should I buy the stereotypical 20s dream car that's been fucked with by Pablo Sanchez and his cousin
>Or a very safe, reliable, fast XD, new Kia Stinger (tm)!!!
>Hard decision guise ;)

The only one with autism here is you, the kit looks like shit get over it

>boosted

go away shill

I just like fun cars. I currently have four cars and just want something new that I haven't tried before. If that new thing ends up being a Rocket Bunny 86, then I'll keep my Speed 6 as a daily. If I end up going with the Stinger GT, then I'll trade in the Speed 6. It's not about priorities. It's about getting feedback concerning these two cars.

And look at the above reply. I don't need them to be used for the same thing. I just want something different for the time being. The Rocket Bunny 86 would just be something fun for nice days that I can work on the aesthetics. While the Stinger GT would be a comfy daily that I can also have fun with. I could go with either one at this point. Would just like some feedback first.

why don't you get something that's actually fun instead of a shitty kia?

> stop liking what I don't like
Says you. Not so much a lot of others.

Yes. Boosted. Supercharged or Turbocharged. Which ever route I decide to go with. Or whatever falls into my lap.

> appreciates a nice car, must be a shill
Go be a faggot elsewhere.

Twin Turbo V6, RWD, 365 hp, 375 tq, launch control, digital performance reading. Hmm can't possibly be fun. Right?

I simply said it's an ugly kit that looks poorly made and you sperged out. Those panels gaps and hideous exposed rivets are terrible

It's a kia.

I'm not the one who sperged out. I simply called you autistic for saying that something made by GReddy looks like something a highschool drop out made.

Which I'm still correct. You are autistic.

And?

It's also pigfat compared to an 86. Part of the fun of the 86 is that it's reasonably light and so very tossable. The 86 is also going to make you think you're in like a comfortable version of a riced out civic with cut springs as far as the ride goes. If you're me, you're almost middle aged and you enjoy that even over long distance trips. If you're me, you like to downshift a lot and wind it out so you can auto-x to the grocery store despite feeling cucked and slow on the highway or at a stoplight.

But I think you're comparing two relatively different vehicles, and maybe what you need to do is test drive both of them to understand that they're catering to two different market segment.

>anyone who disagrees with me is autistic
Lmao so hard, I don't care who makes it. It still looks poorly constructed, you'd know that if you've seen one in person. It's also 5k for that filth

I don't like Kias but people like you are fucking idiotic

I'm not comparing the two. I'm asking for feedback on which would be he better choice. I don't need the two cars to serve the same purpose.

Has nothing to do with the fact that anyone disagrees with me. And it has nothing to do with the fact that you don't like it. The reason you're autistic is the fact that you felt the need to bash on something you don't own, dont have any involvement in, and can't make anything better yourself. If it was a shitty product, no one would have bought them and continue to buy them. Yet, GReddy still makes their money.

And if you've seen one that is "poorly constructed" and "doesn't line up with the body and leaves gaps", then you've only seen a knock off version. Not an actual GReddy version.

>if it was a shitty product, no one would have bought them and continue to buy them
Oh I disagree 100% ricers gonna rice, I can guarantee you the examples I've seen were authentic and just and poorly made as I've described. The car looks great stock, but if you feel the need to molest the car with ugly crap go right ahead

I actually think the body looks too plain stock. And if it wasn't for the Rocket Bunny kit, I wouldn't even consider buying one.

>I actually think the body looks too plain stock
Get some new wheels, a front bumper lip, maybe some weeb stickers and call it a day
>if it wasn't for the Rocket Bunny kit, I wouldn't even consider buying one
Shame on you

Bear in mind that stock an 86 is pretty easy to scrape the front or rear on some parking lots. If that lowers the ground clearance further get ready to be very careful.

Mine came with an aftermarket lip and it literally tore in half at some point doing a few hundred miles on an interstate.
>pull in to gas station
>what's that noise?
>oh, half of what's left of that lip is dragging on the ground
