I've read about your Cecil mod for Paradox, and I think it's pretty cool!

Sometime in the future, I wouldn't mind seeing the second form of Cecil from my game, being implemented into Paradox by one of your mods, truth be told.

Well adding your thing in is possible (that's some HDD-Cecil form right?) would be fun tossing some ideas back and forth to make a story to support it's implementation.

Paradox Luka may have more enemies to encounter, but its mitigated by having allies in battle as well. Also, he can negotiate in battle or flee, options unavailable to VN Luka.

In terms of actual fighting, Luka was never able to overpower his opponents like Paradox Luka can. His limited moveset and SP regen requires more strategy than Paradox Luka's jobs and allies. For that reason, I feel that VN Luka's accomplishments are more impressive.

By how much is it mitigated, exactly? He can only recruit one monster per specific monster girl type, after all.

And that's just a difference in the mechanics of the game itself, user. If you're saying that kind of stuff, then it's pretty much just saying Paradox Luka beats his opponents by overpowering them with sheer strength (which, you know, actually was pretty much the case with Sylph and Gnome) while VN Luka has to be more tactical. What was the argument you were having with other user even about?

The whole argument started trying to decide which Luka was more entitled to act like an asshole.

Powerlevel bullshit aside, I think it's a discussion worth having if Paradox Luka's achievements are valid considering all the assistance he has over OG Luka. VN Luka couldn't afford to be a raucous idiot, yet that is not the case in Paradox.

Anyone else think that if Torotoro found a way to rewrite MGQ to tone the porn down to ecchi levels, we could have an 8/10 anime?
Don't know the actual process of getting greenlights for anime, but a man can dream.

A good game does not necessarily make for a good anime. Just look at Persona.

Hell, you wouldn't necessarily need to tone down the porn. It's really a matter of having the budget to produce a comprehensive and good OVA series. Unfortunately TT just doesn't have that kind of money despite being relatively successful as an eroge dev.

It'd never work, how would the fights play out if the monsters and angels don't use pleasure attacks? They constantly had Luka's opponents right up to IIias herself remarking that Luka's too strong to take in a straight up battle so they'll make him drown in pleasure.

Then again, that also opens up another can of worms because how can you have Luka, sword at the ready, preform an attack, then the monster take her tits out and paizuri him, then what? Wait for him to put his pants back on? They'd also have to show battle damage like cuts, bruises and torn clothing meanwhile for Luka, an erection and pre-cum?

Finally, there's the problem of Angel Halo, that thing is a nightmare to animate and then there's Alice, in the few cases she fights I imagine they would use wide shots so they wouldn't have to draw her tattoos

I think the series could work without pleasure attacks. I can picture a good fight scene with Luka vs Kraken with pleasure attack cut off, so monsters use regular physical attacks.
Animation on angel halo would be a nightmare, just judging by the OVA. OVA did use a clever trick to avoid having to draw it too much, by basically making it a sword that Luka can summon, so he doesn't need to "sheathe" it.

I see a bigger problem with pacing.
Depending on how many episodes are allotted, there's no way to reach the end of Part 3 without going to 24 episodes, even then I think it would be paced way too fast.

What's with this 12 episode format anyway

It's far cheaper and you don't get 100 plus episodes unless you're a Toei animation series

Gotta try something new and fresh or at least give the illusion of something new and fresh every season to make it seem like anime is something that's always exploring new ideas.

For the tartarus monsters I'd say there's no better guy as he captures their horrifying and otherworldly nature perfectly, as for the angels at least it's not delphinus.
