This is a general for Red Orchestra 1/2, Rising Storm, and recently released Rising Storm 2.

Red Orchestra and Rising Storm are semi-realistic mostly multiplayer first person shooters with vehicular combat.

The latest iteration, Rising Storm 2, focuses on the Vietnam conflict.

Hey /rs2g I took a long break from playing the first week the game came out. Is this game really already dead?

Well it just got a patch, so maybe some people will filter back in. Not as many as a new map would do, but still.

Compared to RO2 it's pretty bad, and there's little reason to use it over the AK.

so like what the fuck is the point of the bipod if you can't deploy it on fucking ANYTHING

the sights are top tier and the bayonet seems like it has longer range which makes stabbing pig dogs a lot easier

I have issues with this game, I really enjoy it but I feel like Tripwire have produced a sub standard product for the amount of time they've had

is this cheevo bugged? i didn't get it with five kills when shooting, but i did get it in when i killed two with the bayonet and shot three

Do they still do the shit like in RO2 where different maps get different weapons? Because I was on the training map and as a Grunt could get the M14 where-as I haven't seen the M14 available to Grunt ingame yet.

no only the NLF Guerilla has that.

PAVN/NLF have slightly different weapons but I think both US factions have the same stuff, their grunts always have M14s as an option you just have to chose it in the role screen.

I'd guess the conditions are simple - you need to kill 5 people with mosin equipped without reloading.

If they are dumb enough, grenade kills will count too as long as the grenade will explode when you already switched back to mosin.

Most bullshit I've experienced is the 'return to the combat zone' shit appearing when it has no business being there. I was on Hill whateveritscalled and was getting told to return to the combat area while stood next to a teammate who was shooting at people and GI's were coming for me.

It's clunky, but the glitches arn't too bad. Still playable.

if you have a good pc go for it, but if its low end expect a lot more problems thanks to the memory leaks.

Your reload is guaranteed when the text pops up, the popup isn't always synced perfectly to the animation
The RPG finishes like 33% earlier than the animation, while the pistols have a delay after their full reload before they're finished

Worst thing about C is that for the VC's two spawns, the one closest to C just takes you through a fucking deathtrap, there is literally no reason to spawn on it since you just get annihilated from C and it's further from A and B

Its a horrible VC spawn to be sure, as US those sandbags up top facing that approach are a great spot to get kills
