$25,600 for base gti NEW. any trim level will put you about 27k and up. Taxes and options you likely walk out with a new GTI in the states for ~ 30k

So this or a wrx? I know the wrx modded has the same potential as the gti. The gti just needs that tune tho. Memes aside serious question m, im liking the awd and my local stealerships dont have any fucking gtis in manual so im leaning to the wrx (non sti)

honestly depends on what you want/need.

if you need the hatch go for the gti

if you really want my boy manuél then go for the wrx
