if you made $50k/year. your total bills were $850/month and you enjoyed going out drinking, what car would you realistically buy?

Realistically I would buy an Mk 5 VW Golf with the 1.6 petrol engine for city driving and something nice for a weekend toy.

If I were to choose only one car then I would still go for a Mk 5 VW Golf, but fully loaded.

If I were a fashion person, I wouldve probably gone for a Mini.

But if I want a discreet car loaded with kit, the Mk 5/6 Golf is the best there is. Maybe the Lexus CT200h is also a great contended for luxury in a small car, but it is abit flashy aswell.

If I were Warren Buffet tho, I wouldve just bought a 1.000$ car.

But Im not smart enough yet to learn from Mr. Warren Buffet, so a stealthy, discreet Golf will do (but with all the options which turn it into a mini Phaeton/ S Class - the european Golf atleast)

>make 52k€
>after tax and fixed spendings about 1.8€k left each month
>looking for a nice 125i coupe (e82) or a 330i (e91)
I have a bike for going fast and enjoy traveling

50k/year is pretty good here so probably a 530 f10 and an sw20 turbo

e55 amg if I get to keep my daily
2005 e320 CDI (the 3.0 v6) if I dont

A MX5 for those corners or a 3k civic to abuse and put a few mods on it

Probably a newer Miata because despite what busriders will tell you, slow cars driven at the limit are actually more fun than fast cars driven slow

And fuck having to deal with fixing old cars when you just want to drive or take the back roads to work or something

>enjoyed going out drinking
>buying a car
stop being a retard and either stop drinking and driving or buy a taxi servie rom your money you fucking idiot

>, slow cars driven at the limit are actually more fun than fast cars driven slow
Ok, what?

Do you really not understand the concept of driving a slow car fast versus driving a fast car slow? Real roads aren't the hurrdurring

Ok, brb driving my rental kia picanto to the limit.

golfs are shitty and the gti golf being good days have been gone since gen 2.

>hurr id buy a bmw
>durr i want a miata n a civic
This board is absolutely pathetic.

I make 60k/yr as a junior IT tech.

I have a clean, used scion fr-s in manual. Got new wheels and tires. Bodykit, suspension and camber kit. Been drifting around whenever I had the chance.

Still have plenty money left over for drinking and partying every weekend.

If you're at 50k, you might need to skip out one weekend.

$50k is fuck all

show us what you would buy

volvo s80 mk1 for less than 5k

>"This board is absolutely pathetic"
>translation: "Buy a god damn mustang"

ok rustang steve

This is what I was thinking too. $3k civic

probably buy some fun $10k V8 then put aside money for a better job through education, then retirement. I make a little over double that with a little over double that in expenses and I bought a 20k mazda6 regret machine, though.

get a cheap shitbox that meets my needs and buy a house.

an FD or elise and a st205 celica or r34 GTT
FD/elise for summer car celica or skyline for winter beater

also a subaru legacy for 0 fucks given rally/ice track car

BMW e60 or used Mercedes CLS

El Camino, CBR650R, Shadow ACE 1100

>If you were the average normie, what would you d
This is how this post reads. Reevaluate your life idiot.

Nothing drives like a rental user, run that thing into the ground

How the fuck does one have such low bills? Some kind of invalid living with mommy?

I make 50k and my rent is 850, I financed a Hyundai Accent, but I'm pretty loose with money. Could probably finance a Toyobaru or FiST but I'd have to be cheap and wear shitty clothes and drink at home. I fucking hate being cheap when I go out. I like to have a good time and wear something half decent doing it.

Anyways I'm probably speaking another language to you autistic weebs who make 80k and live with mom and spend their money on anime dolls and video games.

>and you enjoyed going out drinking

Cab fare.

I would ask how you pay so much?
Apartment $400/mo (2 bedroom mind you)
Electric ~$60/mo
Car insurance $55/mo
Food $150/mo
Gas $60/mo
Water $35/mo

>Cheap
Your doing it wrong.

That must be a piece of shit apartment, or in some middle of nowhere town.

In the middle of the city actually. The appartment is pretty dumpy. I've never needed much though. I literally lived in the woods for 6 months and was perfectly happy.

middle of the city in the middle of nowhere

probably an F250 and a boat

wait 50k lmao shit never mind

I fucking love yanks who think they have it bad.

Apartment $1,050/mo
Electric ~€100/mo
Car insurance ~€140/mo
Food ~€450/mo
Gas ~€100/mo
Internet ~€76/mo
Phone €43/mo

Keep in mind Euro = 1.17 american meme money

150 a month for food? Are you just eating beans, instant noodles, and peanut butter? Or maybe you just don't mind starving.

Some Nissan Z car, and keep my paid off '13 Escape for winter/hauling equipment.

Describes me almost exactly
And I apprently I buy a 2k miata with 100k miles

The insurance and apartment is roughly what I need to pay to stay in the city near work too. Where do you live?

THIS

...

thats the best choice financially

750 a month after taxes
do nothing
see nothing
go no where.

survive and hope for ww3

No like an actual city with high rises and shit. Why is this so hard to believe.

Literally this.rice and chicken I need my brotien

I'd buy a second gen GS300 and do a V300 swap
Then I'd get Uber for when I went out because I'm not a retarded who wants to wreck his car, lose his license, get fined $10k, have shitty priced insurance for 10 years, and possibly kill someone

Probably a used Mustang.

I know i have shit taste but well, i like how it looks and feels.

Can do all I need in a car.
Looks nice too.

Lexus IS350 awd.
Balance of practicality, reliability, and just enough sport to not be too boring.

Why?

Sounds very much like my set of expenses.

Dublin?

you're saying it wrong, the way you say it its like driving a mx5 at 180kph vs a lamborghini at 100kph obv its a stupid thing to do.
What you meant to say is that driving a 200hp car to its limit is much more fun than driving a 500hp car without ever reaching its full potential for lack of driving skill or it being absolutely illegal on public roads while you can push the weaker car to the edge on public roads

Something reliable so I can actually get to work. And something not fuccboi so my co workers don't all hate me and ruin my chances of promotion because I'm seen as a man child.

CTS-V

>I'm gonna drive my stock miata TO THE LIMIT during rush hour on the way to work
Literal child.

I would probably get a Delorean, or a 1980 Trans AM, basically one of the cars I dreamt of having as a kid

lmao brit cucks
>house 0 month
>electric 30 mo
>food 140 mo
>gas 80-100 mo
>internet 5 mo
>phone 5 mo
>car insurance for first time car for sub 25 yo that is a sportscar 40/mo
the catch?
I make 750 /mo as a specialist with a degree working in a office

ppssshhh, I do make 50k+ a year but my bills are like 2.5k a month... I have no time for dreaming

This

Make $45k gross after taxes insurance take home around 24k net. local housing is $2400 so I have 4 room mates. 2 drinks at a bar and a snack is $80. best I can afford is a $2400 cvpi but I'm still driving around my Nissan pulser I've had sense high school I bought for $800.

Great for family and track days

Move back in with your parents, and drive a ballin out of control car
