I really appreciate how grounded this expansion has been so far, it feels very low fantasy. And I dig the political plot.

It's horrifying. Lost our utility. Hypercharge got super nerfed. So badly that they should have reduced its cooldown for it to be more in line with 60 second wildfires. Aoe also got super fucked. Managing your heat gauge would be a cool concept but the payoff doesn't feel that neat. On top of that you have to maximize every single minute wildfire or suffer a pretty big dps loss. Dropping a combo is a big dps loss. Overheating is a big dps loss.
I won't say I don't look forward to getting better at the class because I am. But the payoff feels weaker with your weaker wildfires and general lost of big single ability burst (in the form of wildfire). This might be due to unfamiliarity, but I'm pretty sure the skill floor for this class has gone up instead of down.

It was working for a 30 minute window about an hour ago when gilg & balmung crashed, if you missed that you're fucked :^)
They wrote themselves into a corner with such a powerful protagonist so they made the lazy solution of having the bad guy have inexplicable plot armor (unless he's secretly also a Chosen Blessed One for whatever reason).
Since we're obviously going to be seeing a lot of these two in scenes together, lets discuss who's got the stronger midriff game between them
