Yeah, Angie was trying to prevent more deaths. It was manipulative and she went on a bit of a power trip, but she was trying and sincerely didn't want anyone to die.

I'm not much of an Angie fan but I don't think she did anything offensive have an active dislike of her.

That's what I like about her, she's genuinely well-meaning (At least in preventing deaths) in spite of her extremely manipulative methods and when she asked Kirumi whether her promise to protect them was a lie I got the feeling Angie wasn't happy at all.

A lot of people feel like Kodaka was ripping on religion, but to me chapter 3 presented an issue in the sense of cultural relativity given that Angie and Korekiyo both appear to have been raised in extremely removed cultures.

Kodaka could have solved this problem by just admitting that people exist outside of Japan
